My Father had to go into Parkview Estates in March. He was just coming out of a Rehab center and…read morewe brought him to Parkview for a respite stay. We were able to get a good look at how Parkview operates. On the positive side, the senior staff are very nice and friendly before and when you arrive. The facilities look nice and the rooms are reasonably well-maintained. The food was very good during my dad's stay and they had physical therapy on site. The floor staff that help the residents are generally competent and caring. On the negative side, the level of cooperation of the senior staff went down considerably after our check cleared their books. You have to watch medications closely because they hire Pharmacy techs to help with the medications that are not well trained. The Pharmacy techs are inconsistent. Before you move in the Community Relations Director and Nursing Supervisor will tell you that Parkview is in the "Sweet Spot" between the two local hospitals so if there's an event where the resident needs to go to the Hospital we can have them brought to either Trios or Kadlec. This was untrue. All the rooms have emergency pull cords in the event the resident needs help. Before you move in the Community Relations Director and Nursing Supervisor will tell you that Parkview responds to the residents within about 5 minutes. The real average respond time was about 15 to 20 minutes. They fake their response time numbers. The staff go down an entire hall, go into the rooms were the residents are needing assistance, turn off the call light then tell the resident that they will be right back because they have another person that really needs help. My Father told them at one point that he just needed help getting to the toilet. The staff told him to poop in his pants if he had to and they would clean it up when they could get back to him. My Father's stay ended when he had a choking incident. He pulled the emergency cord to get assistance. It took over 30 minutes before someone got to his room. By that time my Father wasn't breathing and had to be resuscitated. He ended up going to the Hospital and died about 10 days later. He did recover enough to talk to us about what happened at Parkview. He said don't blame the floor staff it's not their fault. It's the management and nursing supervisor. He said if he did get better, he did not want to go to Parkview because of the poor management and care. I feel horrible that I brought my Father to Parkview. Please take this review to heart before you bring someone to this facility.

From my experience you treat employees good and they'll do a great job . We continued with the tour of the home and she was very pushy not comforting at all . Definitely needs to get some more education on medication and newer ideas the elderly retiring now are more savy and more in tune with things . She just wasn't very personable , I do not recommend anyone to this place . Hawthorne court was the best choice we could have made .

They have never held up their end of the care they promised us she would get. In the wake of the Covid-19 Virus, they have repeatedly given her less and less care. She is not able to get around by herself any longer and has fallen numerous times. They bring in food for her and just leave it on the table. She needs assistance to eat or do most anything else. They did not check to make sure she ate. She went 3 days without eating or drinking anything because they would not help her. We have repeatedly been lied to by Bonaventure AND after being exclusively in her room for a couple weeks they purposely took her to a common area possibly exposing her to Covid-19.

The food isn't the best. The room cleaning could be some better. BUT, their quick and thorough response to the pandemic has been amazing and effective. I think we have all been troubled by their inability to give more attention to our loved ones but I'm also aware that these were circumstances beyond optimum care. Going forward, I hope attention to residents can be more engaged and the residents can be rewarded for their observance of mandatory restrictions. Thank you, Bonaventure!

The care was ok at the Richland location, however, my issue is with the billing dept. Oasis does…read morenot bill in house, but is processed through upstream rehabilitation. I have only received 1 invoice, I have requested via email and by telephone, but have yet to receive one. When I attempted to call on multiple occasions, you are put on an immediate hold for anywhere from 10-30 minutes. After multiple attempts, I did get through, the woman explained my bill had gone up since the last bill, for a service that had not been billed yet. I did explain I emailed and did not receive a response, but I had not received any updated invoices with new charges or my payments. She indicated she would start sending. I received services in 2024 and have yet to receive another invoice. I have made a couple additional payments, but again I am not receiving an invoice to see that they are being applied, etc. I have again sent several emails and attempted to call and be on hold, but did not receive responses, until today I was called by a collection agency! I contacted the Better Business Bureau and am finally contacted by Upstream Rehabilitation to state that I made a verbal agreement to pay. I said I did not make a verbal agreement, what I stated was I would make payments as I received invoices. I believe I have the right to know what charges were applied, what insurance has covered and how my payments are applied to account. If you go to Upstream Rehabilitation you will see most reviews are the same as mine. This feels like a scam to send to collections by not answering emails or calls or providing invoices reflecting payments, balances or what was billed through and accepted by insurance. BE AWARE if you receive services as Oasis, you will be billed through Upstream Rehabilitation. Recently, I returned to begin rebuilding strength in my back after suffering a ruptured disc. After a thorough evaluation of my condition, they started me on a program to build up areas where I was lacking in strength. All of the staff are very friendly and encouraging, and I really look forward to my sessions. After leaving Columbia physical therapy I went to Dr. Wahl a back specialist in Richland. He did surgery right away on my spine, He fixed several of back problems. He is awesome. The gentlemen at Columbia Physical therapy (all 3) were nice to work with, but I would not recommend going to this place.
