Le Gite used to be located by the train station, and was much easier to get too on my way home, but…read morethen they moved to a new space, which is much nicer, but not as accessible. This is one of my favourite places to explore and the best Fromagerie (in my opinion) in Nyon. Not only can you pick from a selection of fresh Swiss cheeses, but you can also grab some fresh local dried sausage, or other local products. The service is always friendly here and speaks some English. They have the best fondue mix, that they make on-site. However, it is highly recommended to eat it the day of purchase. When you request the fondue cheese, they will ask you for how many people, and if they are big eaters. They will then put together a bag for you, and be sure to ask them for their fondue instructions, as they have special printed instructions on how to best cook and serve it. I have had many other great stinky cheeses from here. But, for Fondue at home, this is my go to supplier.
