Living in Vegas, we're used to the 24-hour lifestyle where you can always find something to eat, no matter the time of day. While in Jamestown, we were looking for a late-night meal and quickly discovered that almost everything was closed. We called Tapps and learned that the bar closed at midnight, but the kitchen was scheduled to close at 11:00 PM. It was already 10:50 PM, and we didn't want to inconvenience the kitchen staff. However, Val, the bartender, encouraged us to place an order and head over. Honestly, we were surprised, but we took her up on the offer. We arrived around 11:00 PM, after the kitchen had officially closed, and were amazed when our food arrived hot and fresh at the table. The food was outstanding, and the service was even better. Our server, Pesh, was attentive, prompt, and offered excellent menu recommendations that did not disappoint. Between the exceptional customer service, great food, and willingness of the staff to go above and beyond for travelers looking for a late-night meal, Tapps made a lasting impression on us. Absolutely disgraceful, Attention Families, Oil Field/Pipeline families and college campers, If anyone is thinking of going here.. Do not waste your money or time here. The food gave my family food poisoning. The camp area is the worst we have ever scene. It's over priced and the owners are absolutely rude, unprofessional and rip off's. I watched the owners deny thier nephew a place to park his camper after his dad, the owners brother pasted away tragically. I thought family was supposed to be thier in hard times. This happened to another nephew of theirs who was homeless but had been given a small camper to stay in who needed a place to park and stay. Just goes to show you what kind of low life people run this place. Disgusting read more
