The 16 ounce serious is so tough it's hard to eat. Don't order medium unless you want it well cooked and even burnt. The worst part of the dinner was the help. The coleslaw was at least 3 or 4 days old. And even worse was the response from the help. She told me well it's free with the meal there's nothing I'm going to do about it.... Yes that's what the lady that took my order told me.... What The Fuck?? At the end after I paid and even after everything was not satisfactory I still gave a 4 dollar tip and she comes back and said, she couldn't believe that was all the tip she got. And even to make things worse there was a bunch of other workers right there, no one said anything. She even told us to get out and OMG ON TOP OF EVERYTHING SHE MADE US LEAVE OUT THE BACK DOWN THOSE CRAZY STEPS. We were thinking about going out to eat at Applebee's but we found this place after going to the frontier Village. We decided to try this restaurant and it happened to be a Thursday night special. They offered a full rack of ribs with French fry's and coleslaw for only $9.95 we were told we could order drinks and have them up on the upper deck overlooking Buffalo country. So we ordered two drinks! To my surprise the bill was only $28.00 for two cocktails and two dinners. It was one of the best rib dinners I've ever had. Kudos to this restaurant. Mediocre food/over priced. I would not recommend it. It is exceedingly convenient after a long drive hauling an RV, so keep that in mind. I would definitely avoid the battered and deep fried broccoli cheese balls. The burgers smelled GREAT! Waitress was awful. Rude and acted like she didn't want to be there and that we were an inconvenience. She literally slid our salads (lettuce from a bag dumped into a bowl) at us like she was angry. They put the packaged dressing on top of your salad, who knows who or what has touched the package and how clean it is. The lettuce was brown and wilted. Ordered a ribeye steak medium well. It was well done and tough as shoe leather. Jaw got a good workout. After the waitress ran my cc twice for the same bill and then claimed to refund one of them I made sure to tell her she is in the wrong line of work. She needs a new career where her bad attitude won't turn customers off and away. The place wasn't very clean or friendly. read more

We found a rv park by using the internet when we got close to this area. We found out there is a steak house right next to it so that sounded even better as we had nothing taken out for dinner. So we stopped in here for dinner and wow what a fantastic menu for this part of the country. We split a 20 ounce t-bone steak with all the fixings had a couple glasses of wine and our total bill was under $35. This is not a restaurant for yuppies it's kind of a divey joint but I enjoy these type of places. They are a few and far between anymore. We would definitely stop here and have dinner or lunch again. read more

As long as I've been old enough to legally consume, I've made this place a stop on my trips, settling in usually for a burger and a beer or two, watch a little tv, unwind and then back on the road again. It's bar food and a lot of the times I'd skip it in favor of another ice-cold longneck, but that old familiar flight of stairs and the smell and feel of what always seemed to me to be a real bar, were always moments of coolness and meant the trip was drawing to a close. Sure, it's nothing to look at and it's not very clean and has grimy elements to it, but dammit, that's what should be there. This place kicks serious ass, as a bar to sit and belly up and chill for a while and I hope it stays around forever...just in case I need it one of my future road trips. read more

Food is not too bad and a good price. Special tonight was a New York strip or sirloin with three shrimp and potato for $12.95. The steak was probably 10 oz, a little tough in a couple of spots but way better than the one I had the week before at the local Applebee's. I like to go here on Friday nights they have the best prime rib I've ever had from a restaurant! You have to get there around six to make sure they have enough because it goes quick :) the service is usually good, only had one bad waitress not sure she's even there anymore. If you are looking for some good prime rib definitely your place! And you can go see some buffalo down the stairs! It's a bar atmosphere but people also bring their kids. The steaks can be good or they can be chewy and fatty. Service is not consistent. Salad dressings come in little packets (with little assortment) that you tear open and put on your salad. Burgers and usually very good. Long flight of stairs to get to the restaurant. Not a very clean place - avoid the bathrooms. read more

So I am a disabled vet making a auto trip around the states. In Jamestown, ND found this place, food reviews good so drove over there. A step up to get in the front door to the gift shop, alas the restaurant is up several steps to the second floor. I get around with a walker, missing some parts, I can get up a step or 2 but not to the second floor. Most people don't see this stuff but when you get where I am the fact that the place does not have the courtesy to post "Not Accessable" on their web page is annoying at the very least! I have always had good food at the Fort but I usually order the beef steak. Last time I asked I was told the beef was locally grown. The buffalo & the elk steak are also good choices. read more
