During the removal process as they were working to remove the bats and walking on the joists, the bat took off and startled the tech who inadvertently stepped through the ceiling leaving a hole in it. He was completely apologetic and they instantly contacted a local contractor to fix the hole and are didn't even hesitate to pay for all of it. They even decided not to charge my parents for the bat removal. This is the sign of a truly great company that cares about their customers. Would highly recommend them.

I was sent updates throughout the time work was being done and had a good experience in terms of swift communication. I was going to get multiple quotes but due to the lack of timely communication from other contractors I went with Heartland! The bathroom was tiled and grouted it turned out even and Symmetric. Very pleased with how it turned out There was an opening between the bedroom and bathroom left over from the removal of a small closet. The new wall installed was finished to match the texturing of our bedroom! Lastly, we needed a new doorway cut out in our bedroom wall for a closet. The doorway is very nicely finished, clearly he took time on the installation. My only complaint is there was no threshold installed but as it is a closet door that's not a big deal. The thing I am most pleased about is there was some pre existing drywall damage in the bathroom. It was near where the new wall way getting installed. The damage was a 3" gap along the wall and ceiling. To my surprise that got repaired courtesy of Heartland. I was not expecting this to get repaired as it was not there during the initial quoting process. While getting a little extra drywall repaired may seem like something to be shrugged off, I think it attests to the overall character, and work quality that that Heartland offers. I think I must have caught them on a bad day. The owner, Terry, was rather cantankerous towards…read moreme. They did a fair job installing a new well pump. Unfortunately, Terry placed on the rig support legs right over our main line and broke it. When we called about it days later, he kept stalling and refused to come out to address the issue. "Due to liability" was his excuse over the phone. I dug up the mainline myself and performed the repair. He also flushed the well by running water straight towards our crawlspace vent, flooding our crawlspace. I tried to get him to stop, but he replied he was almost done and refused to stop. Nice. The son, Greg, was unbelievably courteous and professional. Greg wasn't happy with the water pressure, so he cranked up the pressure switch which burst our water pressure tank bladder within a few days. We ended up having to replace our entire mainline, all connecting plumbing, pressure switch, and pressure tank. All for just a well pump moter replacement.

He fixed the leaky pipe and filled back in the 4' deep hole. He worked that back hoe like it was his own second arm. Both before and after the dig, he was patient to take our calls after hours and talk us through our concerns. He explained how the pressure gauge should read. He double checked to make sure the leak was fixed and the tank was pressurizing properly. He also ensured us that there were no additional leaks with our well. Mike is a 4th generation well digger and repairer. He is now our "well guy" and the one we will call in the future. We would recommend Mike Wilcoxson for any of your well related needs.
