Which is probably one of the reasons they have a lot of 5-star reviews. I originally left a 5-star review on Google for Nate, so that he could get a $25 bonus. But unfortunately my review has changed drastically since then. Long story short, I've dealt with Utah Mechanical Heating and AC since February 2026 (4 months). Their "fix" didn't fix our air conditioner, they couldn't identify any further issue, and they eventually ghosted me (stopped answering my texts/calls) in May leaving me with an 80 degree house and no solution. Frustrated and seemingly out of options, I got another HVAC company to come take a look. They quickly identified problems UM could not, and got the unit working properly. Along the way, all of the techs--while ultimately unable to help--were very polite and respectful. However, one receptionist who I think may be Emily, the co-owner, but I'm not 100% sure, was extremely rude telling me I had "unrealistic expectations," and when I said my expectations were to have a working air conditioner, she told me I needed to "calm down" and call back when I was ready to be more reasonable. Keep in mind I am a very level-headed person. I never swore and was always kind to all involved. You can look at my other Google reviews. They're all positive reviews! So this is not my norm to be leaving a bad review of a company. But people need to know ... Overall, NO. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

Jeff and Paul stayed at our house to fix the many issues for two days. We had to replace the units the other company put in. Wish we would have used air now the first time around. They are very honest and you can trust there work. Our house has never been this cool in the 7 years we have lived here. Other companies have told us we needed to add more registers in our home, but after they fixed the problems our house is sometimes too cold. We are so happy and I know their work is good and safe as we found out the other company cut alot of corners that made it unsafe for our family.

Our neighbors had had great service from Fremont Heating & Air Conditioning and recommended we give them a call. John Fremont was able to come out the next day. Although he concurred with some of the problems the previous company saw, we felt he took a much less rash approach to the situation. We did end up replacing the heater (at a much lower cost) because the most expensive part needed replacing and the heater was over 15 years old. But the A/C only needed a $20 part replaced and it was good to go. The work was done quickly and professionally and we couldn't be happier. When that A/C does decide to give up the ghost, we'll be calling Fremon Heating & Air Conditioning to do the replacement job.

By 8:40p, after not receiving another call and a cancelled appointment by the company, I gave up waiting. I had left work early for this appointment and had opened the garage door by hand so I could move vehicles out of the way for the technician. Kyle promised my house would have adequate hvac but there are so many leaks in the runs that my attic is getting better heating and air-conditioning than my house. Causing massive ice dams on roof in the winter. Also not able to fully cool the house in summer. Had a big issue with lost refrigerant in condenser unit. Kyle told me it was over charged and took out more refrigerant causing even worse cooling issues. He Came back again and took more out. After the second time I consulted another company. It was so low that the compressor needed to be fully recharged and wasn't even running. I crawled up into the attic to feel a blast of cold air when the hvac system turned on. The same in the winter the attic is getting heated.
