I replied no, as I was a guest at the hotel next door. He then proceeded to "educate" me to ask first if they could accommodate a non guest. I was in shock seeing as how it is not obvious that it is a hotel lobby cafe. The signage outside and door to not offer any clarity. If the policy is as he communicated then they should have a sign by the register. Otherwise properly train your staff to treat customers with respect and dignity.
