The meat is lean and fresh as my friend told me that it comes from a free range field in Villalba. I also liked the rustic decor inside. The restaurant is a renovated farmhouse which adds to the authentic feel of the place. If you live in Madrid it might be a bit of a hassle to get there but it's worth a try!

I ordered a tajine, my friends ordered veggie cous cous and pastela de pollo. My beef tajine was flavorful and tender, the cous cous was also flavorful and I really liked the chicken pastry. It was crispy inside and had powdered sugar outside, and I was at first suspicious about the powdered sugar and chicken but it was actually delicious. We had sweet tea after the meal which is was a bit too sweet for my taste. A bonus is the belly dance show they have every 30 min or so. It was very beautiful. I like the food and the atmosphere. Will go back when I want Arab cuisine.
