My favorite local bistro, coffee shop, and bar in Hove. Amazing breakfast, brunch, and lunch options. Try the steak sandwich - to die for. The atmosphere is very cosy because of the ambience and super friendly staff. The best thing: the namesake Fudgie!

It's a real locals pub as it's tucked away in a residential area not far from Aldrington station. This makes it all the more friendly. It's just so welcoming, friendly, good decor and great food. What's not to like about it !? It has a great range of seating areas from tables of various sizes, to comfy sofas, cozy booths, and an outside seating area (both front and back). In here I have eaten the best roast dinner I have ever tasted. On Sunday I think they only serve roast dinners and you won't be disappointed. I am also a fan of their bangers and mash range. A wide range of fancy flavoured sausages with a choice of mash types and gravy options. I am in heaven!!!! Other friends have eaten the fish dishes here and burgers and everything is really good quality. The perfect place to hang out for a drink. Try out the quiz (on a Monday I think), listen to live music (Friday and Saturdays I believe). The music isn't too loud so you can't hear yourself speak, just a good atmosphere. If you've not been to this pub you have to go. Simple as that!

There are two different sides to the pub, the small front room with a sofa or two and a mix of small tall and regular sized tables. On the other side is a big room with a whole mix of tables able to accommodate bigger groups. Here you can see the food being cooked in the kitchen. There are a number of outside benches which are always full when I walk past. The bar staff are very friendly and helpful. Wednesday is 2 for 1 burger day, available all day. Great burgers, and an absolute bargain. They have quiz nights. I've watched sports on the TV here in the past too. There is a large range of local ciders and a fair few ales. If you are looking for Crabbies or Kopperberg like me you might be disappointed to hear it's not sold here, but it's good to see a pub offering something different. All in all a great local pub with a good atmosphere.

I usually head for the back bar, a large space, well decorated with a good range of seating. The kitchen is also at the back and you can peer in to see your dinner being cooked, On one wall the is a giant map of the world - great for pointing out where you have been and where you dream of visiting. There is also lots of outdoor space with seating both out the front and also a little courtyard out the back, great for summer al fresco drinking. The bar staff are great and super friendly and the whole place has a laid back and relaxed vibe. They host a quiz night on a Tuesday and a 2 for 1 burger night on a Wednesday (I can recommend the spinach and falafel burger!). I've not been here on a Friday or a Saturday, but on other days it's not too busy, a great place to catch up with friends over a few drinks or maybe a first date!

This 'routine' was repeated three times with three different men, and it did not become more alluring. This was not a sexy show. There was no real artistic stripping, only the guy turning around, shrugging his jeans off as fast and as awkwardly as possible (one of the men got his jeans stuck round his ankle and did 'the hop'), doing a couple of hip thrusts and then turning back round to pour some assortment of liquid on himself. We all oddly felt like we were staring at some vain drunk man randomly stripping in the middle of club. This was not as advertised. Our hen party paid £36.20 each to see the "leading firm in the world of male stripping", as advertised on their website, so we expected good male dancers to put on a show, with thought out routines. We expected the drag queen to do a few minutes within the two hour show to link the acts together. Instead, the drag queen took up over an hour of the show, taking half an hour of our time doing a raffle that would have been best suited to the interval, and the rest of the time quoting jokes we'd heard a thousand times before, then asking us to cheer for her. There are many shows out there that are ten times the quality of this one, that do not rely solely on the hens being blind drunk. 'Dreamboys' is supposed to be a genuinely fantastic show, and hen parties would do well to book that show, and not waste their money on this one.
