Great food in a laid-back environment, I can't tell you enough how good the pizzas are.

This place remains my go-to when I go home. I strongly assert that this place could be just as successful in a big market like the Iowa metro as they are in this small town. The food is great, the staff friendly, and the drinks strong. Compared to Des Moines, the booze prices are stellar. You MUST order the spinach artichoke dip! It's hands-down my favorite thing on the menu. The dip itself is good, but what really sends it over is the fact that it comes out with dippers made from their pizza crust. Dough, chewy, phenomenal.

One of Iowa's best gems. Located in clarion but worth the drive from Des Moines. All food is coal fire oven baked. The prime Rib was outstanding, I had the coal fired kitchen sink pizza awesome.

Amazing food and amazing service! My favorite part about Fuel is their specials at lunch.

Went here on a weekday with a party of 2. Ambience is casual. I have heard they serve great Moscow mules. Our server made great drink suggestions. I ended up getting a berry Moscow mule. And wow!!! That drink was strong but you cannot taste the bitterness or smell the alcohol. But I could feel it after drinking about 1/4. Highly recommended. I would come back to Fuel just for their mules. Foodwise, I got the shrimp and spinach artichoke flatbread. And again, wow. I was debating that or the chicken pesto pizza. My friend got the pizza and I think my flatbread was better. It was tasty. Every bite was flavorful including the crusty edges. Would highly recommend both items from Fuel. Overall, friendly staff, delicious food, and casual ambience. I would really love to back back here again.

Great pizza! 1/2 Bacon Chzbrgr (cant remember the actual name) and 1/2 all meat. Only Coal Fired Pizza in IA I have found

Great distinguished spices on their beef and sausage. Perfectly cooked as coal fired is imo the best way to cook a pizza.

Okay, first of all let say I have been to fuel many times in the past three years. I grew up in Clarion. You can imagine how pleased I was to see a family establishment that provides great food, service, libations, and often live entertainment. My wife & I have also enjoyed the outdoor patio on many beautiful evenings. Of the estimated fifty times I have been in Fuel, service was terrific! Ellie, (a great waitress), often helps us when available, and she is an absolute Jewel! On just one occasion when they were busy we had a wait on the patio & my beautiful wife went in to not complain, but to remind them we were on the patio. The owner promptly insisted we accept a $20 gift certificate despite our protests . . . This, is a classy place!

Fuel has a casual atmosphere and great pizza.

Tucked away in a small town in Northern Iowa is Fuel, a biker-themed bar with pretty waitresses and some damn good pizza. They have some pretty unique menu items, like the half-naked cheese balls (italian fried cheese). Those were great but the sauce that came with it was ice-cold, a big no-no. Other than that the food was top notch and affordable. If you like crispy, thin-crust pizza, this place is hard to beat. We tried two kinds of pizza, the sausage and the pepperoni and they were both excellent. If you ever roll through Clarion and need a bite to eat, skip the fast-food joints and ask a local where Fuel is at.

Fuel has amazing food and has a nice atmosphere. It is worth a stop in Clarion or near by. The pizza is coal oven style and delicious. We tried the Reuben pizza and a Meatball/Pepperoni pizza both were excellent. The spinach artichoke dip with pizza chips are very tasty. We also tried the pretzels coated beer battered cheese curds and they were also great. This place has some really good pizza some of the best in the state of Iowa

    Chicken pesto, minus tomatoes.

Be prepared to show a little grace, there were a lot of cars turning in there as we came up to it- from the food, I'm guessing they're always busy! My wife chose their mainline burger (no cheese) and house fries. Honestly, I think we could tell how good it was going to be when got out of the car and that awesome charbroil smell overwhelmed us. She loved it. I had the Chipotle Bacon cheeseburger on Texas toast, well done for me (they will prepare to your liking), which is charbroiled, then dunked in their home made bourbon sauce and served with Swiss cheese and jalapeños. The fries have some type of coating that makes them a little crispier and a little tastier. Even if you're cruising up I35, it's worth the detour into WC for a great meal. Plenty of tv's but even with a crowd, you can still have enjoyable conversation at your table. It's no wonder one whole wall is covered with "best of" awards. They deserve them. Bon Appetite!

The menu is simple in all the right ways: sandwiches, wings, salads, and a few other staples. I went with their award-winning tenderloin and onion rings. My wife had boneless wings and the deep-fried cauliflower. The food was excellent across the board. Portions were big, nothing was greasy, and everything was cooked exactly how it should be. The cauliflower was crisp and seasoned well, the wings were solid, and the tenderloin was spot-on--great flavor, not oily, and the onion rings were light and perfectly done. Our bartender/waitress, Jesse, was outstanding. She was friendly, checked on us several times, and made sure everything was right. All in all, a great stop. Good food, generous portions, and the kind of service you don't take for granted. We'll gladly make the 30-minute drive to come back.
