We entered a church, had lunch in the area and did some shopping. Doc bought a bracelet I liked from a vendor and a T-shirt from a man across the street from the museum for me. I bought some bracelets and pouches from a man on the street. He could speak English and said his family was Aztec. He made the bracelets and his grandmother made the pouches. Many locals with their dogs and tourists were enjoying the nice warm weather. We saw people being blessed with special smoke or sage. Many shops and eateries on nice streets. There was one two story restaurant that looked very pretty and romantic with couples eating on the outdoor balcony.

You can pay at the kiosk and not have to wait in line. To get to the castle, you will have to walk to the top of the hill. CDMX has a much higher elevation than where we're from so you feel altitude sickness particularly when walking up the steps. Recommend to bring some shades as it does get hot when the sun is out. Amazing views, overlooking the city. You can take your time exploring the inside of the castle and the garden area. It wasn't too crowded when we were here or didn't feel like it since it's pretty big.

The hike is not easy so be prepare to either make many stops or skip it all together. If you are fit then it should be a breeze and no big deal. After the hike it pays off since the view from above it is awesome. On one side there is no fence but on the other side there is a fence so you can feel safe. On the side where the pyramid sits, that's the side with no fence so just be careful. On the top of the hill, you can buy water or other liquids so you can rehydrate and be ready to walk down. And just so you know, just because you are going down the stairs, it does not mean it will be easy. Uneven stairs and some of the spots there are no stairs, there are only rocks. But it is worth it.
