Low key and small all you can eat sushi place. We went on a Thursday night. They have a pretty good menu items. From what I noticed the menu is the same from Tuesday to Thursday and then they have a separate menu for Friday to Sunday. Some of the rolls were different then other all you can eat places so we tried those. For the weekly menu they do not offer sashimi only nigiris. The price per person is approximately 28$ tax in. I definitely recommend this place. Service was really good and the food was coming out pretty fast. The sushi and the fried stuff were to our liking. We had to call to get reservations because they don't have a website but when we went it seemed like ppl were coming in without reservations The only bad thing about this place was the ice cream, I got the green tea ice cream but it has a powdery feeling/ taste. Half the sushi's were good typical AYCE quality, the other half were pretty bad, greasy fried bits, not fresh and crispy. I took their AYCE tonight for $22.95. Kids up to 8 years old, price is $10.95 so took that for my little one. Wasn't disappointed at all with the quality! Majority of the comments I read here were positive, add two more like that from two non-Yelper family members, had to try it. The place is a bit small, clean and set for casual eating experience. If you want a bit more upscale and better sushi, go to Osaka Sushi, on the next block, a stone throw away from here. Expect to pay more over there of course. Overall, this place would do the trick for me if craving a good quality sushi. For $22.95/pp plus tax and tips you'd have lots of other choices for a casual grub besides sushi. Sure I'm a sushi snob, a self proclaimed amateur wannabe Michelin food inspector who enjoys all types of Japanese food! Here's the deal here: For $13.95?you can have AYCE for lunch which is a solid offering! You have a set menu to order from which has a healthy selection. First item selected was the green salad with what tasted like their sesame white sauce dressing. This was fresh healthy and crunchy! The highlight as agreed upon were the Vietnamese style fresh rolls with the sesame flavoured white sauce. The sushi rolls to me were okay. For me the sushi rolls were nothing spectacular. The rolls were just above average for me. To be amazing for me it's the texture of the rice and the freshness of the ingredients which was okay but not earth shattering (trust me Jason, when you eat amazing fresh sushi you will know it)! Seriously though for the price it's a great deal. You get much less stellar sushi at Sushi Shop or YUZU for the same price so you have a bigger selection here on the menu and it's all you can eat! I've come to Fuki Sushi bar a few times to enjoy some quality sushi. I usually go with the lunch "all-you-can-eat" option. Usually that combined with sushi should make you think... what type of washroom commitment am I expecting later on in the day but I'd be glad to report, the sushi is solid. They have a variety of sushi on a set menu that I mostly have enjoyed. I'm quite enthused about the Vietnamese styled fresh crab rolls and peanut butter sauce. They rest? I'm going to make this extremely short. No. I won't be back. Back story: I'm 4 months pregnant and can't have sushi rice because I have insane arthritis flare up's. I know you're asking "why go eat sushi?" because nearly every other sushi place has more sashimi options than just two and more non-rice sushi options. Service was NOT cool. Waiter was rude and impossible to flag down. I ALWAYS deconstruct my sushi at all you can eat places and never had a problem. Here I was told I had two options 1) eat the bowl of rice i left behind or 2) they would have to charge me for the rice I didn't eat. so they charged me $6. Whatever we move on from our squabble. I place another order and ask for them to be made without rice, only to be told they "cant or the sushi wont stick". What about the other places that make sushi with no rice and just rice paper? ........ I'm then told to stick to the fried one... the ones that have ONLY rice or the one summer roll that is stuffed with fried tempura batter and 1/4 slice of shrimp. Such an array of options I don't know where to begin. The ginger was a weird shade of white-pinkish.. something I've never seen before. Pros: ..... the onion rings were good.... does that count. Between the lack of service and professionalism and the fact that it cost me $40 for 7 pieces of sushi, I definitely won't be back. Went there last month for my bday and I was not disappointed. The place is nice and clean but nothing fancy at all. It is an all you can eat sushi place and its about 20-30$. The menu is pretty basic not too many choices but all pretty good. Sushi is freshly made right there behind the counter so you can see everything. Brought some well traveled friends there for a bite since had a craving for sushi that had been lingering for the past 2 months. Nobody was disappointed. Everything tasted fresh. A lot to select from. Staff was friendly. Very well priced. Like many places you do have to pay for what u don't eat. And we over did it. We payed the little extra to bring it home w us and was still amazing the following day. Needless to say no more sushi craving!!!!! Only negative is that it is a hole in the wall kind of restaurants. Went to this place because the yelp reviews seemed great. Not from the area so we were not familiar with other options in the area. It's a very small restaurant. The service was extremely slow. The wasabi was so dry it probably had been made weeks go, black spots on the ginger because it was so old. The sushi itself was extremely low quality. We were so turned off by the first few dishes that came out we had to stop ordering and leave. $60 for two people and we barely ate $20 worth of food. It's very obvious they add MSG or some sort of fillers that caused us to be very thirsty and bloated immediately after leaving. Skip this place, save yourself time and money. read more

Delicious sushi and amazing customer service. Their sushis always feel fresh especially the salmon sashimi. Even though it is a small restaurant, the quality of the food is always good. I feel welcome in the restaurant and i don't feel uncomfortable if i want to order more food. I really like the girl that always serve my table. She is very nice and smiley. The only thing that bothers me is when i sit close to the window (during winter) it is very cold and uncomfortable to enjoy the food. The service is great but the amount of rice and its density is TREMENDOUS. It feels more like arborio rice than sushi rice. The quality of the salmon is hit or miss depending on the weeks but it's mostly quite good. Finally my wife and I went recently and arrived at 2:05pm - their lunch ends at 2:30pm. We were turned away and told that we can either take out the sushi or pay full price a la carte because their kitchen "closed". We told them we drove almost 20km exclusively to come eat there and that we would only order once (we know how much to order in one sitting, and we don't even order that much), and despite that, we were turned away. I've been to Fuki for a decade, use to come here 1-2 times a week so I know the procedure. Was there for lunch today, the place is under new ownership. When I called for a takeout order ladt week for 52 pieces, I show up to a 62 piece order. After giving up on trying to explain ai just paid and took the food. Now onto today's lunch disaster. The waitress was by herself on a busy Friday lunch (13/08), it was chaos. After I was seated I received the menu after 7 minutes of waiting. After ordering, I waited an additional 25 minutes before receiving 3/4 of my order. I waited another 10 minutes to be asked if I wanted another menu. I told her I just wanted 8 pcs salmon nigiri. She said ahe was busy and gave me a paper to write on. She was writing orders by hand on small pieces of paper so I thought it would save her the trouble but no. I was annoyed and agreed but when I was ready to give my order, the waitress collected every other table's order before mine and walked right past me ignoring me. I'd been sitting for 45 minutes and only eaten 16 pieces. I waited another 5 minutes to only be ignored and then decided to pay and leave. The price is now 2,34$ higher than before they closed the dining room and the waitress had the nerve to ask for a tip and looked mad when she didn't get the ammount she expected. The 2 stars is because the sushi was good. This sucks because this was my favorite place since I was a teen. I will not return because it's very unorganized and the cooks were yelling at each other in a packed restaurant while being extremely slow. Fresh and tasty, not expensive, I have gone many times for lunch buffet and was never disappointed. Very fresh ingredients and great sushi. The only thing that isn't great is that there is a limited selection but it's still awesome as there are different types of maki, nigiri and some others like salads and soft spring rolls made with rice wrap.
