I look forward to receiving my box every week. I am a vegetarian so I constantly need fresh fruits and veggies.

A delicious variety of produce, reasonable prices. I also very much like the add-ons!

Look at pull dates on the sale items! I have complained of this behavior to no avail.

Over 6o family farms in Washington, Clackamas and Multnomah Countes have banded together to publicize what is in-season by month along with directions to their farms. This has been going on for many years, graduating from paper you could pick up at food coops to a website today. You can start your planning with their season guide: https://www.tricountyfarm.org/season_guide.php. Exact dates will vary with the weather in a given year. Then you can search by the food you want: meats, fruits, vegies, herbs, flowers and even children's activities: https://www.tricountyfarm.org/all_products.php. Or if you are out in the country looking for a farm stand you can use their map, then select a farm and see what hours they are scheduled to be open, and what farm goods they have: https://www.tricountyfarm.org/map.php They list children's activities like hay rides, pumpkin patches, corn mazes and petting zoos. Portland has a lovely and well developed farmer market system throughout the neighborhoods. Many local markets have local producer fairs like People's Coop and Zupans. And local markets are always glad to point out local products. We have regional wholesaler Organically Grown which is a huge farmers' produce coop. It was started by hippies in Eugene and 40 years later operates warehouses in Portland, Seattle and Spokane with annual sales of greater than $150 million. But if you want to visit the farm and buy direct, Tri County Farm is the Yelp of farms open to the public!

I don't know if she was having a bad day or just really dislikes working on a farm as a cashier serving food, drinks and ice cream but she was not happy to be there. It made us all uncomfortable. I was going to come back in and purchase more but we decided not to because of her attitude from the last interaction. We went up to order some food and she made a loud sigh like she didn't want to make the food we ordered. When we ordered ice cream she laid the cone down on its side rolling around on the counter while she was scooping another cone (not very sanitary if you wanted to eat the cone rolling on the counter). Overall we really like the farm and would love to come back but thought management/owner should be aware of the employee attitude towards customers. I'm sure there were other customers that observed the same behavior from her yesterday too.

I do a partial share, which is more than enough for my husband and I. It has saved us a tremendous amount on our grocery bill, to the point we don't go to the grocery store nearly as often as we used to. I was even able to freeze much of it, and able to use it over the course of the winter. We pick up our CSA near our home at a market style pickup - we get to pick our own produce out of the bins, make choices between certain vegetables, and even put unwanted produce in a trade bin for others or to trade. The quality is excellent, and so much better than anything you could get at a grocery store. I love that they send out a newsletter with the upcoming produce you will get - it gives you time to meal plan and buy ingredients for your upcoming share! If you're looking for a CSA in the Portland area, I can't recommend Love Farm Organics enough - I am actually finishing a winter CSA with another organic farm and it came nowhere near the quality of this, and I'm really looking forward to it starting up again soon!

They're a 4th-generation family farm and they're really lovely people. Their produce is excellent quality, they have pick-up spots all over the area and their site has lots of resources for nutritional info and recipes on preparing the things they grow. They've introduced me to things I've never seen and really widened my palate. Their produce is organic so it isn't polluted with poisonous pesticides and doesn't poison the soil or kill pollinators like bees and butterfiles, it's healthy and delicious and actually comes out to cost less than produce at the store by my house AND I know I'm supporting a local family farm and helping keep it there. You just really can't beat an organic family farm CSA membership and everyone should try one! They also offer some work exchange and take SNAP to make their produce available to as many people as possible.
