Cannot get any information regarding my account; they have been overcharging me for four years…read more When I completed my subdivision, I changed the name on the bill, and at the same time informed them that I was a private residence, but they have continued to charge farmland rates. Finally two months ago I talked to someone on the phone who discovered that the account had never been changed to residential, so she changed it, and my bills since have been almost half of what they were. There was nothing on the bill to indicate what rates they were using. For example the service charge for a farm rate (without using any electricity) is $85/month, while the service charge for a residential rate is only $30/month (approximately). My bill went from $332 in July to $191 in August, using almost the same kwh. A difference of $141, so over a four year period that is probably over $6,000 I have overpaid. I will be requesting a refund; interesting to see how that plays out!
