I love all the services they offer here! The boys and girls club is located here, in the front. The senior center is located around the back. There's a back parking lot for the senior center. Went to this place recently for a wedding reception. The room we were in was able to hold 150+ people and we still had room for a big enough area to dance in. The building was pretty big and there was plenty of parking (there's a dedicated parking lot). However, as the night went longer and although there were plenty of restrooms, we noticed there was no upkeep for the bathrooms. Alma peralta genuinely the worst and the most rudest interaction I've had at this facility. Ive been coming to the Fullerton community center for 5 years never had an issue and out of no where ms alma peralta treated me with no respect and the way she talks to people is very rude. I guess 5 years means nothing especially when you pay for their services. Im not someone to write reviews but the service i received was god awful. My sister in law found this place for us and we loved it when we first saw it. The courtyard trellis and the ceremony area was perfect for our wedding. Camryn helped us at first to book everything but then she got promoted so Zoey finished everything with us. Both ladies were great and communication was good for the most part. We are looking for indoor courts to play pickleball and one of our friends recommended this place. It's basically gym with AC and not hard court, gym floor for basketball & tennis. I've been getting back into swimming and have been searching for an indoor lap pool, finally stumbling upon this gem! The 18+ indoor adult lap swim is facilitated by FAST Swimming (a private club team/organization) and you pay a fee to book a slot. Overall a solid facility with an indoor 25-yd pool, lifeguard on deck, and locker room. They cap the amount of reservations so that you will at most have to share a lane with one other person (though I've always had one to myself). Everyone's really nice and courteous! Some notes: - There's only one analog clock on the deck and it's super small and hung up high. Difficult to read and not very useful. Would suggest wearing a wrist watch if you want to track anything. - The demographic is overwhelming guys. In my experience, there's only ever one other female. - The pool only goes up to about 5ft and the water temperature tends to be on the warmer side. - This might sound strange, but it's something I always note: their pool water doesn't taste bad. It's on the pleasant side compared to a lot of other pools I've been in. Not too strong on the chlorine or salt. read more

Where do I start? From start to finish, Zoey was there every step of the way. Anytime I had questions, I was always able to email her and she always responded in a timely manner. I'm so happy we had our wedding reception at FCC in their hall. It was by far the best choice! I want to mention, the FCC staff that was staffed throughout my party (I wish I knew their names) were so helpful as well. Whenever I had a question, or needed help, the young lady was there to help me and had no problem doing it. The MAJOR thing I loved about having my wedding reception here was the fact that it was more of a DIY project. Meaning, because the hall was so bare, hiring someone to decorate the hall and make our vision come to life was so fun to do and see. Update: Pauline is the president of the club. She was told of the situation and advised that she would contact me to apologize but changed her mind and ghosted me. Just reiterating how terrible Pauline is. Terrible terrible people. I am almost shaking as I write this review as they treated my Mom terrible when she went to the Korean Senior event luncheon today. She was planning on joining the club and at $10/year, man it's a steal right? Wrong!! My mom came as a guest to watch her friend perform today and they told everyone to go grab food. My mom went in line to get a plate of food and Pauline came up and told her No, you're not allowed to eat. My mom was confused and Pauline told her only the ones with wristbands are allowed food. Ok, understandable. But then she did not tell all the other people in line they couldn't eat without a wristband, ONLY my mother. My mom just went back to sit at the table while every single person ate, wristband or not. One would say there wasn't enough food.. again that is understandable. Except, they had so many leftovers where not even half the food was eaten and yet my mom was the only one targeted by Pauline. My mom sat down to watch her friend perform while the whole time Pauline was staring at my mom making sure she didn't get any food. How dare you Pauline treat any human the way u did! I would like an apology from Pauline to my mother. I hope that someone at this club will see this message and make things right. read more

Came today for HiCAP appointment, first time here. Signage is poor when pull in off Commonwealth only see sign for Boys and Girls Club nothing else. When eventually we find someone to ask for information we were greeted by a person who was less than caring about the taxpaying customer in front of her. She needs some lessons in basic human kindness. Sad state of affairs....I guess whole world has gone mad and everyone harsh to others. read more

We hosted our wedding ceremony and reception here and couldn't be happier with our choice of venue. Zoey, the recreation coordinator, worked with us from booking until day-before rehearsal and last minute layout changes to accommodate an unexpected heat wave during our wedding. She was so helpful and professional and went above and beyond to make sure we had a plan A and plan B for the weather. We ended up moving the ceremony to the courtyard for shade and moving the reception inside to the grand hall, and it turned out beautifully. Not only was this an affordable option and we are happy with where our money went, but we received very professional, warm, and timely communication and assistance from Zoey from start to finish. This glowing review is for the FAST Swim Team Inc. housed within the Fullerton Community Center. The fairly new community center is uber clean. Ample free parking surrounds the building. The indoor pool, though small, hosts aquatic class after class. The staff is always moving to ensure the area is free of unnecessary equipment to ensure the comfort of their guests in a clutter-free environment. My goal was lessons for a novice swimmer. FAST hosts a bevy of classes from Level 1 (Bubbles) to Level 9 (Lifetime Strokes) . . . and everything in between like breast stroke, crawl, kicking, butterfly stroke. My 9-year-old grandson attempted swim lessons at Pierce College last summer. He refused to put his face in the water. A few days in, his swim teacher pushed his head under water. Flushed and shaken, he refused to go back, or to take lessons ever again. I thought he'd never learn to swim . . . a tragedy for a Southern California kid surrounded by swimming pools, man-made swim parks, lakes and the Pacific Ocean. Fast-forward to this summer. I asked if he'd try swimming lessons if I took them with him. He agreed as long as the teacher would not push him under water. Through a series of lucky circumstances I found FAST. Classes were available right after he finished the school year. And, although we couldn't take classes together, he agreed to give it a try. From my first exploratory visit to the FAST facility to Jake's last day of class (yesterday), the staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Day one he got a set of regulation goggles. He'd hoped to wear a snorkel mask, but, no, every kid was issued standard goggles that he babied and treasured throughout his 2-weeks of class. With trepidation he was introduced to his teacher and classmates (2 other students about his age). The boys were swimmers learning correct kicking and rollover breathing technique. I thought my novice Jake would get lost in the mix, but immediately the teacher had him practicing blowing bubbles. Each day his face got closer to the water. After class, he'd practice in the bathtub at home. His teacher always made sure he had equal time and her unwavering attention. While the teacher worked with one student the other student would show Jake dunking his head under water wasn't scary. Both boys were continually encouraging and supportive. But for a whole week Jake blew bubbles into his cupped hand or into the water's surface. No head under water. He learned to float on his back, but seemed protective of his nose and mouth, making sure they never touched the water. His teachers, Ms. Lexi and Ms. Caroline, encouraged but never forced him into doing more than he could manage. If that was all he learned I was ok with it. At least he was in the water. But something else happened that floored me . . . every day he insisted we get to the pool early, to be sure he was on time. And as soon as he'd get in the water he'd smile from ear to ear. His joy so real. The weekend came. We took Jake to Legoland Water Park to play with his cousins. He immediately donned his snorkel mask and laid face down in the water. Soon he was gliding through the water kicking his feet to propel himself forward. Trying out all the techniques he'd watched his classmates do. What was the difference . . . snorkel mask that covers his nose. Tuesday morning he was back in the FAST pool, wearing his swimming goggles, blowing bubbles into the surface of the pool. Then miraculously he dunked his head under water. He emerged. "I didn't get any water up my nose." His teacher and classmates cheered. And he earned his first Blue Ribbon. Throughout the week he kept dunking himself under water like a teabag in the cup of hot water. Joy, joy, joy. From that point he was relaxed in the water, whether floating on his back, arms outstretched behind him; or face-forward head bobbing up and down as he kicked his way across the pool. I tell this story to thank the teachers, staff and Jake's classmates for creating an environment where he learned to test his abilities and to enjoy the water. During those two weeks I met other mothers who had unsuccessfully tried other swim schools only to find their children blossomed at FAST. It's a GREAT swim school. I'm forever grateful to have found them. And if you're in the market for a swim school I hope you give them a try. read more

This place deserves 10 stars! I was at the Fullerton Community Center on September 1st for a wedding. I honestly have never met such kind and helpful employees than I did that day. The wedding would not have been great if it were not for Matt Roach and Stephanie. They both worked very hard to meet our requests. Matt helped us take out the trash. They both answered all our questions and got help when we needed it. They both helped set up fans when guests were complaining of heat. I could go on as they did so much to help us that day. There is nothing bad to say about this place. I hope the manager reads this because Matt deserves a promotion! He has such great client management skills. Stephanie is new on the job and we were her first event. She did great and I know she's going to continue killing it! I definitely recommend Fullerton Community Center for all your event needs. The pool here at the Community Center is nice. This pool, along with the Janet Evans Swim Complex is run by the Fullerton Aquatics Sports Team (FAST). The lifeguards and staff are probably the nicest ones out of all the pools that I have been to. They don't just sit on the lifeguard tower watching me as I look like a whale go back and forth swimming laps, but, they will also help me with my swim workout if I ask them. One of them even gave me a new workout to do! I guess she was bored of seeing me do the same thing everyday. I am no longer the king of the pool with my embarrassingly slow 100 yard swim at 1:30. A couple of good swimmers recently started coming here. Hopefully, it was from my past review of this place. They have inspired me to pick up my pace. But, it will be a long time before I can swim the 100 in 1:15 or less, even when I cheat and use my swim fins and paddles. I have only had to share lanes a couple of times at this pool. There are a couple of swimmers who belong to FAST, and have swim caps that says "FAST". Every time I see them, I am tempted get a San Luis Obispo swim cap. But, then again, my name is "Jeff". That is what swim cap currently says. I would confuse everyone if I changed my swim cap. I like this pool for lap swimming. I like the hours. It has everything I need for a good workout. read more

We hosted our sons first birthday here for about 100 people so a fairly large party and my negative review really has nothing to do with the venue just more for the host zoey. First off she's harder to contact than the president of the united states, it's impossible to get a call back or an email back from her and that's just hard to understand as she's the only party coordinator. In the beginning it wasn't too bad but once we paid the full amount then it was just all up in the air we had no idea when we could get in touch with her when she would call us back or anything. Secondly the main reason for our negative review is because when we initially checked out the outdoor courtyard venue we asked her what would happen if it rain's, and she specifically said that we don't double book parties on the same day so if it rains we'll move you into the indoor banquet room area, so we agreed to host our sons birthday here. A week before the party we knew it was going to rain because it was a bad rainstorm the next week so we adjusted our party to be at the indoor venue. Now 3 days before the party we get an email (not even a courtesy call) from zoey saying oh by the way we have to split the room to accomodate for another party so you guys will be sharing the room, here's the layout thanks. So of course after reading that email we were just shocked and furious because she promised that this wouldn't happen, who would spend thousands of dollars on a venue for their kids birthday and want to share the room with another kids birthday party. We had so many questions running through our minds, and as usual it's so difficult to get in touch with her. All in all the party went by smoothly no issues with noise or music conflicting with the other party but yes the lead up and the preparation for the party was such a mess having to work with Zoey. Would I recommend hosting a party here, although the venue is very nice I would not recommend it. read more

Apparently their pool is no longer affiliated with the community center. It's now run by a private, for profit, exclusively for swim lessons and competitions. I, like many others, came here for the lap swim that was open to all. I now have nowhere to go. I'm guessing the pool was too expensive for the community center to run/maintain and this is a more lucrative option. This center is no longer for the community. SO SAD. read more

Newly renovated! This facility boasts new equipment, beautiful design, and gorgeous finishes. They have a basketball court, classrooms, and a large hall. Great for parties, fitness classes, or a quick game. Rental costs are very minimal! In addition they made a fantastic choice of designing around mature trees, so this new facility has aged trees on site as well. They work with a great caterer Brownstone so its great even for formal events! Cant wait to work with them! read more

Came here because the outdoor pool (Janet Evans Swim Complex) was closed for a meet. They let me use my JESC pass this one time to get in here. Open swim on Saturdays begin @12:30. There's classes going on before that. The pool boasts 6 lap lanes, 1 wide rec lane, 25yards, no gutter. The glass wall windows are open to allow better ventilation. But still with them open, it's quite stuff in here. Chairs along one side of the wall while parents and belongings can sit on the opposite of the room on a concrete "bleacher." The deepest the pool gets is 5'. Also, the water is quite murky, probably from all the kids peeing in here. I don't see a water fountain on deck, so bring your own bottle. There's also no swim clock on deck. There's a small regular analog clock on the West wall but it's way too small to use for a workout. Facilities are not connected to the deck. But they're just a short walk across the office "hallway." There's only 2 showers though, and it's open to all people using the basketball court, the gym, and the pool. There's lockers in here as well Overall, a decent pool to get in the water and some laps in. I'd recommend the JESC pool over this one though for a real lap swim workout. But for just a fun day in the pool this is great. Just be ready to share a lane with a person or 2! read more

This review is for the pool here. It was a nice, clean facility, with lockers available and two showers--just make sure you bring your own lock. In the pool area, there is lots of seating and benches available and places to put your stuff as well if you feel comfortable not locking it up. I came in t about 12:30 on a Saturday and all of the lap lanes had two people in them, but it didn't really feel crowded. Everyone was nice and helpful that I came across. If this is your first time here just walk through the front entrance and you'll see an information desk on the left where you can ask for directions to the pool. When you get to the pool entrance, there will be a desk where you can pay the $3 entrance fee. The only reason this rating isn't higher is because while this is a really nice facility, I know there are also nicer available -- ones with more showers, blowdryers, more hours, and less expensive membership fees. But this is the best I have found in this are so far! I'll definitely come back. read more

The basketball league has been utilizing the courts for the whole season and on the very last day of our Championship game, the forecast indicated heavy rain. We usually meet outside in the courtyard, after our game, but I didn't want to take the chance of setting up outside and having it rain on us. Win or lose, we still wanted to celebrate and hand out trophies. Thanks to the awesome staff at the community center, we were able to utilize a vacant room. The supervisors on site were very professional and so accommodating. It gave me just enough time to set up and all the families were able to see their child get presented with a trophy. We had a very successful mini celebration thanks to the help of the staff. Thanks again for fulfilling my request and hope you enjoyed the yogurt parfait. ;) read more

The brand new Fullerton Community Center which is considered a multi-use and multi-generational facility is the new home for the Fullerton Senior Services, the Fullerton Boys & Girls Club and Parks and Rec Community classes & activities. The vaulted ceilings along the corridors were pretty impressive but it's the endless opportunities this community center has to offer that gets me excited. - 5,000 sf Grand Hall w/ performance stage & kitchen - Indoor Pool (Fullerton Aquatic Swim Team & other classes)... has no direct access to bathrooms ?!?!) - Gymnasium (full size) - Fitness room (pretty small) - Classrooms - Dance room - Billiard room - Art & Craft room - Meeting area - Computer lab - Courtyard - Senior Services & Library From the looks of it, you can rent most of the facilities listed above. I can't wait to come back with my kiddies and test out all the other offerings. I'm sure we will be enjoying this center for many years to come. Community Center houses the Boys and Girls club, and they have a travel section for the older adults.The facilities has basketball courts, along with the Janet Evans swim center. I recently discovered that they had a small gym with equipment, and during my frenquent visit to Fullerton-use the gym for my inbetween tennis days. The equipment is new, and they keep it pretty clean. Off to the side are lockers, and showers. **Bring your own lock-be careful what you put in, saw couple of people just drifty through". The only draw back is that they close at 9:00 pm, other then that I'm pretty content with the price and facilities. read more

This review is for the Fit Club here at the community center. The instructors are wonderful. Each are fully qualified holding many different certifications. The gym could definitely use a remodel and I hear it's in the works with a ton of equipment coming and more classes however with what the instructors have they provide top notch instruction. The small studio vibe leaves everyone feeling like family not just a dollar. And did I mention it's only $15/month for unlimited classes and gym use!!! That literally a steal! Most studios charge upwards of $180 for unlimited classes. They have a wide variety of classes from Zumba, HIIT, Bootcamp, Booty Tone, PiYo, Yoga, and even offer personal training! Love this place and can't wait to see how much better it becomes after the remodel. read more

My son came here for swimming lesson. 30 minutes session but they really teach the students about 20 mins, it takes them too long to start teaching and the last 5 mins they just stay around the stairs talking and waiting for time to be over. Really waste of my time and money to take kids here to learn. The coaches are not good. Coach trains another learned-to-be coach and teach my son at the same time. This is not professional at all. If you come here for public swimming in winter, then its ok. But come here for lessons, NOT recommended! Customer service is horrible! read more
