I turned down any medical checkup at the scene but the bill says I was checked. Called multiple times but was told that the firefighters recorded my blood pressure in the report and therefore I was checked. I don't know how and why, the only explanation seems to be that the firefighters put down something without actually doing it. They also refused to adjust the bill at all and said will send my bill to collection if I don't pay. They run this like a for profit business despite of all the taxes we pay

I first contacted the fire department to inquire and they said I could take up to 10 bags. Upon arrival nobody was around except a shovel and bags on the side for me to shovel what I needed. I'm thankful the bags had a plastic string for me to tie up the bags as I had to tie them up myself. I filled them up halfway and got on my way to drop them off at a friend's place. Make sure you don't park in front of the cones or you'll be blocking the trucks from leaving.

I was worried that once the water is burned out, the fire is gonna set off. I called the walnut fire department and the dispatcher is so nice and immediately dispatched 3 fire fighters along the fire truck. They arrived in like 10 minutes. One of the fire fighters used a piece of metal to open the door knob and barely had any damages to the door, and then i ran in the house and was able to turn off the gas immediately . Fortunately I did not have to call them for an emergency but spent time at this location while working on a project for my work and had the honor to interact with some of the firefighters. Professional, respectful and helpful, they were a pleasure to work with. I hope that no one in the vicinity ever needs to call upon their services but it's got to be great to know you are in such good hands in an emergency.

I believe these people are working their hardest saving lives but last Sunday I saw them at their…read moreworst. They got really snappy with people involved in a car accident. They were yelling and not listening to the people. And when one person was burned with a chemical reaction from the airbag, they placed ice on the burn without washing the chemicals off resulting in more skin tissue damage.thry were not listening. Something needs to be done to ensure our first responders are given enough rest. I am not sure if the skin burn would not have been so bad if someone would have rinsed the burn right away instead placing ice on the burn site directly. People say it's ok over time skin grafts and physical therapy will help.
