I was here for a two-day conference and it's a well oiled machine. There is staff at every stop along the way guiding you which made navigating this gigantic place much easier. There was also security which I always appreciate when going to crowded places. The check-in line for the conference I was attending was no joke half a mile long but only took about 20 minutes due to the efficient staff. I really cannot say enough great things about the employees. Overall I enjoyed my first McCormick Place experience and I'm sure I'll be back for more in the future!

The facilities were super clean and there were tons of staff cleaning up during every part of the conference. It never once felt messy and the trash cans were never full. The staff was friendly, and always wished us good morning with a smile. The food was meh. We had catered food from the facility for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast pastries were rather dry and tasted prepacked. And lunch were boxed lunches that lacked flavor all but they were sandwiches, I just wish they had condiments on the side as an option so we could doctor it up. Overall, we had a great time and the maps all over made it super easy to navigate the experience.

He makes it appear that you will have access to a kitchen space in the unit but this actually a part of a totally different and unconnected space. The second issue was the shotty construction work that he was doing and that it was left undone on the day of my event. There were holes in the walls and dust on everything. it was dirty and unattractive. There is also a bar area on the side of the space that looks unsanitary and unusable. The manager of the space was not helpful at all and whenever I requested something be changed or taken care of he showed that he was obviously annoyed. I would never use this space again nor suggest it to anyone.

Although it was a tad off the beaten path (up on Belmont near California) the price was too good to pass up ($25/hr) and the pics showed the place to be perfect for our needs. As advertised, the place was just about perfect. Very clean, nice, well lit, attractive - brick walls, high ceilings. I think they have a screen you can put up for photos shoots but you'll need to check. Bathroom, kitchen, sitting area, chairs, tables, studio area for shoots or auditions. One minor negative was the lack of a door at the end of a hall between the waiting room and studio space. Even though we couldn't see the prospects, we could hear them. As it turned out, the location wasn't even an issue as it's right of the Blue line and #77 bus. And Edward, the owner/Manager(?) was very nice and made the process simple and headache free, important when your focus needs to be elsewhere. Wish I had found this place earlier. Definitely a place to check out if you're on a budget and need an impressive space for a photo shoot or audition. Looks like you could rent it to to teach a class in as well. Overall, great space.

There was a coat check too, complimentary. There were pasta demos, wine, food samplings and cooking(pasta, bread, sausage, biscotti, risotto with mussels) and a few speeches. As a tasting event there wasn't much room for sitting, which is fine, but aside from hearing a little about how food is prepared, I had to look online to find out WHERE Puglia is: it's part of the heel of the boot of Italy! I didn't see any maps around but that's not the fault of the place at all. It's a beautiful, bright space for learning and partying. They are having a NYE party and I may have to consider it.

The patio was also key, as we had a nice day in October that allowed us to utilize the outdoor patio for guests to take a breather. Natalie, the event coordinator, has been executing weddings there for over 14 years, and her experience shows. She knows how to run the show to a tee, and we were very grateful to have her in charge of everything so we could just enjoy the day. Natalie went above and beyond to help decorate the space and make sure everything looked perfect. We had some unique DIY stuff, and she was super flexible with all our requests. Definitely the most laid-back event planner I've ever met! On the day of, we love the way Natalie built time into the schedule for us to take a moment to ourselves -- which is key when the wedding seems to go by so quickly! Yet, somehow, I managed to miss it! However, when I called to get directions, the person who answered the phone was super nice, knew the area (HUGE bonus) and was able to get me back on track, explaining in detail various landmarks I will pass when I'm getting close. The food was amazing too! It happened to be a mostly Polish crowd, so the food was traditional Polish cuisine. It was so delicious -and plentiful! I had never been to this banquet hall so I was really pleasantly surprised with the room, the food, and the waitstaff. I would definitely recommend this location -which is convenient to those in the city or suburbs -for your next formal event!

What an amazing Hilton property this is, and certainly my new go to for business trips in the Chicago area. Clean property overall, spotless rooms, super quiet despite the relative close proximity to Midway, and a nice restaurant in-house. I will mention just a few of the incredible employees I interacted with this week... Andres the GM runs a clean ship, and has the most amazing staff. Most of the employees here have been here 10-22 years! Front desk staff Tee, Melody, Marlene, and Josephine are friendly and very helpful. My hardworking housekeeping professionals Carlos, Irma and Evelyn are top notch. Carlos ensures the rooms are dark and quiet for the red eye Southwest flight crews, doing his part to keep the crews and their passengers are safe. Jasmin and Ramiro are nothing short of fantastic with their people in the Coaches Sports Bar & Grill. Both congenial, long term employees who seem to genuinely enjoy making their guests happy. Not only was the service exceptional, the breakfast and dinner alike were outstanding, courtesy of resident chefs Erika and Isaiah. Lastly, I would be remiss if I didn't mention Ana who also works in the restaurant but was the bartender tonight. Although I do not drink, she made sure the dining guests had everything they needed in between frequent visits from Ramiro. All in all a fantastic stay.

My oh my, what a cozy, intimate, and mysterious venue this is for a theater show!…read more I recently came here to watch a production of Chicago Afterdark and it was great. The venue was made for small productions and interactive performances that get up close and personal with the audience without necessarily breaking the fourth wall. The venue was lined up with small, round coffee tables and a catwalk that led up to center stage. Outside was an area dedicated to $5 in house drinks and friendly staff that were there to greet and ensure your comfort. I was not only impressed with the performance but by the staff's hospitality as well. Kudos to the performers, writers, producers, and head honchos of The Charnel House for a great evening.
