It's a treat to walk around and explore the building, specially on a cold day of winter. This is a fun thing do with friends & family visiting. The staff is nice. Highly recommended! P.S. That's because the Pabst brewery closed over 30 years ago and moved to San Antonio. This is where Pabst started and the tour was my favorite of the 3. You can buy your ticket (adult $14) at the coffee shop on the corner and that's where the tour starts. My tour was on a Tuesday and is called the Tall Boy Tour. That's because they give you a 16 oz can of your beer of choice to start. I picked a PBR Light and then we watched a short movie about Pabst. Our tour guide was excellent. I can't remember if his name was Joe or Pat (had long black hair with a beard) but he was very knowledgeable, used humor and made the tour interesting and enjoyable. We went through several old buildings listening to the interesting story of the company (that started in 1844) and the Best family that started it and Capt. Pabst that it was ultimately named after. The tour ends in the nice gift shop. I recommend this tour!

Be forewarned that you must pre register online to take the tour and it's $20 for adults. At the gift shop/visitor center there is plenty of free parking. About 25% of the tour is outdoors but that is mainly walking from the visitor center to the various buildings you visit. The tour takes about 80 minutes. My your started at 3 pm and had about 25 people in it given by two tour guides. They told us that the entire campus encompasses 78 acres. The tour covers walking through 3 or 4 buildings that show the brewing and packaging process which was interesting to see. It's impressive how much beer they make here everyday and all of the brands they support. We also went into the old cave room where beer barrels were stored before refrigeration to keep the brew cool. That room had a beautiful mural in one wall. I enjoyed this tour and recommend it. Also each adult is given 3 beer samples of about 4 oz each. I picked Blue Moon, Hamm's and Miller High Life.

It's my favorite time to visit since each room is activated with holiday decor, festive cheer, and pops of color! Year after year, a team of volunteers help staff transform the Pabst Mansion into this whimsical exhibition adding to the MKE beer baron's living experience. Each year, the colors and decor changes adding a unique experience every holiday season! Times entry and same day tickets are available in advance or at the door, though "at the door" occurs at street level in an adjacent building. A very small free parking lot is up the hill onsite next to the mansion but additional free parking is available across the street and is labeled with signage. The building is under construction, we entered through the gift shop. We showed our NARM card for free entry. We started with an informative film about the history of the Pabst Mansion. Fifty of us were on the tour, we were broken into 2 groups & I followed Molly throughout the house. She pointed out interesting pieces & fascinating stories. Our hour long tour of the Pabst Mansion was a fascinating:90. We learned about the home, Pabst family & details about the architecture and furnishings of the home while exploring the 1st through 3rd floors. This house had electricity, inside plumbing, a telephone, central heat & 10 bathrooms. In 1892, Captain Frederick & Maria Pabst completed construction of their mansion, It was designed by George Bowman Ferry and Alfred Charles Clas, & cost $254,000. These art collectors, filled their mansion with priceless treasures. During the years of the Pabst family's ownership, the house was the scene of many fine parties and receptions, a wedding & in the end, their funerals. The Pabst descendants sold the house in 1908 and for 60 yrs. was the archbishop's residence When it was sold in 1975, the mansion was nearly torn down but become a museum & was placed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The seating area is huge and stocked with fun lawn games from giant jenga, connect four, and bags. Endless entertainment to be had with friends. There are also bathrooms with a key if you need! And plenty of parking. We loved our time at the Tap Yard at Schlitz Park and we look forward to our next visit!

We live near by this river-front spot, so it's safe to say this is our new go-to spot for happy hour drinks and to enjoy the sunny summer weather. We've already walked here a handful of times and it's always offering a good time. The shipping-container-make-shift-bar (which is really cool), has lots of craft beers on tap. So far we haven't tasted one that we don't enjoy! If you're not a beer drinker, they have you covered with an assortment of hard seltzers available as well. Over the weekend, I tired the Central Waters cranberry one, and it was delightful. In addition to cold beverages, this sprawling outdoor area has plenty of seating (including umbrellas when needed). Lots of room to meet up with friends, bring your pups, or like us, push and park your stroller. There's also some fun patio games like (giant) bags, connect four, and jenga! I always love when there's on-site activities. PLUS, they have live music some days, trivia on Thursday nights, and rotating food trucks that pull up to feed your belly. All of this sits along side the river where you can pull up on your boat, or simply watch the kayakers roll by. So enjoyable. You'll be seeing us a lot this summer :)

This review is for the boat with the tiki covering. We walked from our hotel and entered around the side of the Harp building. When we got there we were greeted by a lovely 4 legged friend, as a dog lover this was lovely. Sadly, the dog did not go on our tour but a different boat. The boat itself has plenty of space for any beverages or snacks. They had ice already ready for our drinks. The seats have a bike seat cushion, but no actual pedals. There was also space at the front of the shop for us to just sit and enjoy the scenery. There are speakers on board so you can hook up to Bluetooth if you want. The captain and his first mate were excellent! They were able to tell us some interesting facts about our surroundings. They took pictures with the background of the bridge and the Milwaukee graffiti. They had a point where you could get a picture wearing the captain's hat behind the steering. It was such a lovely touch to have someone who knew when a good photo opportunity was coming up and was ready to alert us and take our picture. Half way through the trip, we took a break at a restaurant to use the bathroom. We were able to quickly order and receive fries to bring on board. The fries were soooo crispy and delicious. We had booked a public tour and ended up getting along really well the big group that was with us. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. It helped take the whole experience to another level along with all the other little touches. We would definitely do this again. It was a nice way to see the city and to get out of the heat. I've never done a water tour like this and thoroughly enjoyed this! It was relaxing. I could see how some people would party hard on this so if you're looking for that, it's feasible.

The desserts were minimal and not what we expected - especially since we've been on the bakery tour by the same company and absolutely loved it. Based on that experience, we expected much more. Two of the four "desserts" were a pre-packaged cookie and chocolate, which didn't feel festive or special for a holiday-themed tour. Another thing not clearly mentioned is that the tour includes a lot of group sing-alongs. While that may be fun for some, it felt like filler after the first few songs and went on longer than necessary. Becca was very patient and kind with the children on the tour, which we appreciated. However, the presentation itself could have been more polished - there were several moments where information was forgotten or counting had to be redone, which made the tour feel a bit disorganized. Overall, the tour could easily be condensed to about two hours and would need to be priced lower to better match the quality and quantity of desserts. It wasn't terrible, but it didn't live up to expectations given the cost and past experiences with this company.
