Recently I was placed in the situation of having to arrange my partners funeral. There were so many things to take into account including the fact that members of both my family, as well as my partners, were overseas and unable to attend his service, but wanted to share in the celebration of his life. I did a little looking on Google and found that of the 2 specialist Funeral Photography services available, Craig from Funeral Photographer appeared to have more "on the ground" experience with funerals, so I decided to go with his services and I am so glad I did. Craig was professional, courteous and very empathetic to our particular service, and most of all was unobtrusive. His knowledge of the funeral industry was evident from the very start as he knew the funeral directors very well and liaised with them as well as the clergy, and other than the initial introduction with us, remained out of the way of the main portion of the service at our church, the graveside service as well as the wake that followed afterwards.....yet he still managed to get amazing images of every one who attended, the important and moving parts of the service as well as the following party. About 10 days later I received a disc of images as well as a video file to music of the day and I have forwarded copies to family and friends world wide and the response has been simply amazing. I now have beautiful permanent memories of my partners service that I will truly treasure for many years to come. I cannot thank Craig from Funeral Photographer enough and I have no hesitation in recommending his services to any family that requires them read more

We had researched professional photographers in the local area for Mums funeral service at the Fawkner cemetery in Melbourne Victoria. The ones that did get back to me were looking at charging me around $1500 for the service, and then I remembered that mum had said she had been to the funeral of one of her dearest friends in Sydney last year and that there had been a photographer there that the family had recommended. She told us that this photographer specialised in funerals and was very knowledgeable about the entire process as he had been in the funeral industry himself. I contacted our friends and they recommended Craig from Funeral Photographer. I was concerned that the price would be outside our range as he had to come from Sydney to Melbourne to help out with mums service, but to my surprise the price Craig quoted was slightly less than the local photographers, and that included his travelling costs to and from as well as the photography, editing and sending us the images when they were ready. I decided then and there that Mum deserved nothing less than the best and someone that was very familiar with the whole process so I engaged Craig. I am so glad I did. On the day Craig turned up early, spoke with me and then went about his business and to be honest I don't recall even seeing him in the way at any stage. After the service concluded at the graveside, Craig came by, said his goodbyes and about 10 days later we received a package in the mail that contained a disc with the images of mums service, as well as a movie made out of the images that had some music to it. I was extremely impressed with the photos, they were amazing and they have provided my family both here and overseas a fantastic memory of the day. I have no regrets with the decision to bring Craig in for the day and Ii thoroughly recommend his services to anyone who wants an amazing permanent memory of the day Marie from Coburg Victoria read more

I recently lost my father to a long term illness and as part of the funeral service he had insisted that we get a photographer to record the service in still photography so that we could then send the images to our family both interstate in Australia as well as to his family over in the United States. After a bit of research on Google I found www.funeralphotographer.com.au and made the initial contact. I spoke to Craig and found that he had intimate knowledge of the funeral industry and that he was flexible and most of all caring when i spoke to him. Even though I am in Burleigh heads in Queensland, and Craig was in Sydney, he provided us a very good price to record the service and minimal costs to travel here to do the service on the day. We had initially considered getting a local photographer, but after speaking to Craig at Funeral Photographer we made the decision to have him attend.....and we are glad that we did. Craig attended a little early, took pictures of the family and friends arriving as well as my fathers arrival in the hearse. He followed through to the graveside and then the wake afterwards. Because of his knowledge of the funeral industry we were barely even aware that he was there, but when we got the Disc in the mail a week later the images were fantastic and recorded all of the most personal and relevant moments of the service. I now have sent those images overseas as well as interstate and the response has been no less than fantastic. I would highly recommend Craig at www.funeralphotographer.com.au even if your interstate. Amazing value for money and worth engaging him just for his experience in the industry alone. I truly do not believe another photographer would have been able to capture the moods and emotions as well and discreetly.....thanks again Craig we will treasure the memories Elston from Burleigh read more

Dad was a proud man, who had quite an extended family around Australia, and when he passed away recently my brother and two sisters decided we wanted some pictures to send to the rest of the family. At first we were going to get one of his grand-kids to do the pictures, but we thought that may be unfair because they were there to celebrate dad's life as well and it would take that away from them. Then we looked at hiring a Photographer, but we wanted to make sure that they would handle it in a dignified manner, as dad was a very dignified man.....when we spoke to our Funeral Director, they suggested that we look for someone who specialized in funerals and suggested Craig from Funeral Photographer, as he had actually worked in the funeral industry and was very knowledgeable about this whole funeral process. From the moment we spoke to Craig he was helpful and understanding. His costs were, we believe, more than fair and he assured us that he would undertake dad's funeral photography with care and discretion. On the day he turned up early, met with us and then of course with all that went on we don't remember even seeing him for the rest of the service. Afterwards he found me, said his goodbyes and left. My brother and sisters all said that apart from the initial meeting on the day, they didn't really recall noticing him....but then we were all fairly focused on the service. About a week later Craig called to say that our pictures were in the mail and that a slide show was on his site for us to look at. I sent the link to the rest of my family and they were thrilled to see it. It's now with all of our family and has provided us a different perspective on the day and made sure we have amazing permanent memories ....thanks again to Craig from Funeral Photographer for all his help!! read more

The funeral of a family member is always one of the most difficult times in life, and when important members of the family are unable to attend it just increases the stress levels even more. After much discussion, we decided to engage the services of a Professional photographer, but we didn't want just any person. We had a look on Google and found Funeral Photographer and noticed that there were a number of very positive reviews for this service. We called Craig at Funeral Photographer and spoke at length about what we wanted, and Craig's knowledge and experience showed through and made me feel comfortable with my choice. On the day Craig met us, and then spoke to the Funeral Director and the priest to just make certain of the service and it was obvious that he knew exactly what he was doing, that the funeral directors knew him very well and seemed very respectful of him and that we had made a good decision. And on a day such as this it helps you be that little more confident that all will go well. After about 10 days or so, Craig sent us a link to the website with a password to view a short slide show he had already put together, with music inset and we were stunned. The images were beautiful and every time we look at the slide show, we are reminded of the day, who attended and it brings tears to our eyes. This was a very positive experience to us, and we will be always grateful to Craig at Funeral Photographer. Wade J read more

When mum passed away, one of her requests was that we have the funeral photographed so that we can keep the memory of the day, as well as to be able to send to our family back in the Philippines. I did a little searching online and contacted a few local professional photographers. I then found Funeral Photographer on Google. At first I was worried that they would be very expensive, considering we are in the Mount Tambourine area of the Gold Coast Hinterlands , and they were based in Sydney, but after our discussion I decided that even if it was it would be worth having someone who is a specialist. I was shocked to learn that even with travel costs included (which I thought was fair enough), Craig was able to attend mums service, and then do all the work and it still was about the same price that what we had been quoted by a local photographer! About a week after mums service, Craig contacted us and sent us a link to his site with a slide show of mums service for us to look at..........and all I can say is that it captured the day perfectly, the tears were flowing. Then a few days later, in the mail, was a CD and a USB containing all the images as well as the slide show we had seen. Thanks again Craig for helping us remember that very special day, we have now sent it all to our family and friends overseas and they have said its almost as good as being there themselves Esmerelda from Tambourine read more

When my son passed away, one of my friends suggested that we have a photographer attend to record the service with still pictures, for us to share with a number of family members and friends that were unable to attend the service. Our friend suggest Craig at Funeral Photographer as they had used his services recently and had nothing but praise for the sincere, empathetic and caring way in which he looked after her family in their time of need. I am so glad we went with Craig. From the moment we met him we felt more assured that the day would go as well as can be expected, and it was obvious that he had vast experience with funerals as he liaised with the Funeral Directors and the clergy present. The end result was a magnificent slide show and stills images that captured the essence of our sons service beautifully. We have sent those images and the slide show to people overseas and they were so grateful, as are we. Thank you Craig for making what was one of the worst days of our lives just that little easier. We would have no hesitation in recommending Funeral Photographer to anyone who requires their services read more

My family and I had to organise my fathers funeral recently , and I was asked to sort out a way for my niece who was overseas, to be able to, in some way join in the celebration of dads life and his funeral. I had originally thought that I would just locate a photographer who was in the area. When I searched on Google, I noticed an ad that had a number of very positive reviews. That was for Funeral Photographer. I called and spoke to Craig and he was available. His pricing was great and with the experience of having been in the funeral industry himself I felt that he was the ideal choice. And I was correct. On the day we met with Craig and he set about his job with discretion and professionalism. When we received the images from Craig we were most impressed with his eye for capturing the most poignant parts of the service, and my niece sent word that she felt like she had been there after receiving the photos we sent. A very big thanks to Craig from Funeral Photographer for making a difficult time just that little easier James read more

I cannot tell you how happy I am with Craig from Funeral Photographer. At short notice, as most funerals are, Craig was able to attend the church service and crematorium service for my brother. We only had about 25 people at the service, but that wasn't the point. My other sister was unable to attend due to the fact that my brother passed away unexpectedly and she was travelling overseas with her family. After a bit of discussion we decided it was best that she remain overseas and that we would have the funeral photographed by a professional photography service. My sister actually sent me a message that she had found what she believed to be the perfect person. I jumped online, looked at the website and we went with Funeral Photographer. What better than someone who actually specialises in funerals. We are very happy indeed with Craig and have no hesitation in recommending his services to anyone who wants to share the day with family and friends who can't make it. Eileen read more

Funerals are a difficult time no matter what and to have to arrange it all was very stressful. I decided that my brother deserved the very best though and one of the things I decided on was to have a photographer at his service, but not any photographer, I wanted someone who specialised in funerals. I had been to a funeral earlier this year and noticed that they had a photographer and I asked the family who they had chosen and were they happy. They told me that they had found Craig from Funeral Photographer online and he was excellent value for money as well as very experienced in the funeral field. They sent me some samples of the photos he had captured for them and I was sold there and then. I am so glad that we chose to use Craigs service, the photos are gorgeous and capture the feeling and the mood of the day perfectly.....and I have shared the slide show he did with everyone and they all agree...fantastic job done. read more

My father passed away at the grand age of 95, and with so many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren there was always going to be the chance that one or more would not make dads service. My daughter was in London and dad had insisted that she not interrupt her studies to return for the service, so we decided to have the funeral photographed. The Funeral Directors recommended Funeral Photographer for the job and we organised it all through them. On the day Craig introduced himself to us and then spoke with the Funeral Directors to get the layout of the service and then set about his job. I must say that he was very discrete and I didn't really notice him but when I got the pictures they were fantastic. I sent them to my daughter the same day that I received them and she said that she was very happy to be able to share in the day. What a great service and fabulous idea to have a photographer Mike read more

I have always believed that there are some things that you don't scrimp on, and funerals is obviously one of those things. So when Mum passed recently, Dad wanted someone to take photos. Originally he suggested that we have one of the grandkids take a few pictures, but I told him that wasn't fair because it takes away their opportunity to share in the day. I searched online, found Funeral Photographer and called Craig. His prices were very reasonable and it just took that little bit of pressure off those that attended. Dad now looks back at the photos and says he is glad we decided to spend the little bit extra. I thank Craig for his assistance Roseanne read more
