Oh man, this is a GOOD burger. The chef is deaf but he had no issues communicating with me and my partner who don't speak French through hand motions or simply writing a question on his phone. Back to the important part- I gotta say, having lived in New York and trying amazing vegan food this is one of the top burger spots I've ever had. It's a no frills burger that just focuses on the taste of the patty which was amazing. I've also never had vegan cheese that tasted so good and melted so well! We actually went back and ordered another burger because the first 2 were that good. We got the double cheeseburger and the chicken burger, the double cheeseburger was SO yummy and the chicken burger had fake bacon on it. I'm sad that I don't live in Paris and can't eat here all the time! Also the prices are very reasonable!

Great service, was super quick. Got it delivered. I liked the packaging. Really liked the simplicity of the menu overall.

Even though I personally didn't know sign language, we had no problem communicating through our gestures.

Just finished a long bike ride to the Eiffel Tower and worked up an appetite. Decided to go straight to the main course. They are known for Au Gratins. My son is not a cheese fan so he opted for the norvigene (smoked salmon in dill lemon and EVOO. I decided to stick with the house specialty; Landais Au Gratin (cream potatoes, duck breast and emmental cheese). The 2 girls beside me ordered a cider with both their meals so I followed their lead. When in Paris...... Considering the temperature, I almost second-guess myself and ordered something other than their house specialty of au gratin potatoes. In the end, I was very glad I overruled that thought. Brody enjoyed his meal. He just appeared to still be hungry when it was done and a 16 year-old boy that normally has a high caloric intake, I can understand why he wanted a second meal after eating his first! The restaurant in the patio were quite crowded even though we had reservations. They still sat us within five minutes of arrival. Not five minutes is a long time away, but it was still worth the weight as good as the food tasted. We both enjoyed our meals.

Didn't blow me away, but was solid with the creaminess of the sliced potatoes and emmental cheese combined together with mixed vegetables. The cheese was very strong though, so anything else was unfortunately pretty much overpowered by it. Arrived with bread, but it DEFINITELY could use other carb options to sop it all up (e.g., rice???)! = Landais - Cheese gratin with duck. Same comment as the above, except the Landais had egg and goat cheese also mixed in with almost the same ingredients as the Fermier. THE SERVICE ----------------------- + The lone waitress, who also worked the role as greeter, cashier and bartender was friendly. + Food arrived within 10 minutes of ordering. THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------------ = Small, tight restaurant. = Not many tables inside - 6 in total. + Located a few blocks away from the more touristy restaurants, towards the East, on a much quieter street. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Nada.

The tea shop on the second floor is absolutely adorable and really should be on any pastry-lover's bucket list (ditto if you are into tea houses). Calm, refined, and civilized, it embodies everything that "tea" should be. Mom ordered a pot of tea and she deemed it delicious (she is often disappointed by hot tea--it is rare that we find an establishment that makes it properly). I ordered the hot chocolate with chantilly, and it filled me with mirth. (Warning: it is a dessert unto itself. This is not the insipid cocoa that comes from powder in an envelope. Imagine a cup of chocolate truffle, and you are about right.) We both ordered the plaisir sucrée, and now I need to go back to Paris to take a pastry class. Definitely come here for a special treat tea.

It was a cozy and intimate setting and overall a great experience. Of course, the macaroons were amazing! Loved that the cappuccino came with their logo on top of the foam. And they gave us 2 scrumptious Laduree chocolate squares, which was a nice treat!
