My vegetarian had a a sweet potato bake that she thought was decent. My veggie burger was underwhelming- the patty was super thin and lacked a clear flavor or texture. The egg on top was perfectly cooked, however. Service was normal for Paris, quiet place. For a vegetarian party this is probably not a bad option - not so many pure vegetarian options in Paris.

A quaint and unassuming restaurant, we later learned is a fave among the locals. The bourguignon seitan was exactly what I wanted! The soup of the day, fresh homemade pea, was decadent. Everything we tried was great! If you are a vegan or vegetarian visiting Paris, then Le Potager du Marais is a must. Best French dinner all week.

We also ordered steak frites & a carbonara pasta. Our server forgot the carbonara so we had to remind him when we were almost finished with our entire meal. It was quite a bustling restaurant so make reservation to ensure you get a table. It's a pretty big restaurant by French standards, normally everywhere in France is quaint & small. My son is not a cheese fan so he opted for the norvigene (smoked salmon in dill lemon and EVOO. I decided to stick with the house specialty; Landais Au Gratin (cream potatoes, duck breast and emmental cheese). The 2 German girls beside me ordered a cider with both their meals so I followed their lead. When in Paris...... Considering the temperature, I almost second-guess myself and ordered something other than their house specialty of au gratin potatoes. In the end, I was very glad I overruled that thought. Brody enjoyed his meal. He just appeared to still be hungry when it was done and a 16 year-old boy that normally has a high caloric intake, I can understand why he wanted a second meal after eating his first! The restaurant in the patio were quite crowded even though we had reservations. They still sat us within five minutes of arrival. Not that five minutes is a long time to wait, but it was still worth the wait as good as the food tasted. We both enjoyed our meals.

Same comment as the above, except the Landais had egg and goat cheese also mixed in with almost the same ingredients as the Fermier. The menu may be a bit confusing, but our server cleared up any questions. (a la carte vs prix fixe) We started with a complimentary terrine with gherkins and onions which were delicious. I had the Brittany scallops in a pesto and citrus dressing topped with parmigiana reggiano - absolutely amazing! Mains were the braised beef cheeks which were melt in your mouth and a tender roasted veal. The smoothest puréed potatoes and a crispy potato gaufrette were perfect accompaniments. The Grand Marnier soufflé was the perfect ending to an outstanding lunch. I look forward to returning to La Regalade for another lunch or perhaps dinner.

The ambiance of this restaurant was outstanding as we were warmly greeted when we entered and the restaurant is housed in an historic building about 400m from the Louvre. Only two tables were occupied by Americans which was a good sign. We ordered the tartare, foie gras, Octopus salad, duck and pork belly, all of which were delightfully prepared and tasted very good. We ordered Palova and the Soufflé for desert (both highly recommended). They had a very extensive wine list but we opted for the Charles Heidstick Brut Reserve by the glass which was very good. For food, we settled on the "rice table" which was a bit of a smorgasbord of several dishes on their menu. It came in 8 decent size bowls, with another bowl of rice for each of us. There were a few stew/soup style bowls (which were all delicious), some that focused on chickpeas or edamame, another with sweet potato waffles, and one with an incredible beet hummus. If it sounds like a lot of food, it was, even for two people. We both walked away very filled up, though stomach's happy. Pricing was reasonable too, keeping the wallet happy as well. We enjoyed our dinner on the outside of the restaurant after about a 20-30 minute wait. The bone marrow had the best flavor I've experienced for the dish. However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. We even came back on our last night, but didn't realize the hours on Google maps was for the deli. The restaurant closes earlier, before 9:00 PM. This meal got us thinking about Paris in a positive light, and we hope to be able to come back to eat the amazing dishes again!

Tip: get the mojitos - slightly dangerous (you can't taste the liquor, but it's there alright), but a good idea.
