After giving me an estimate in May for both restoration work at my home and refinishing pieces at their shop, Mike told me they would not be able to attend to my business until mid-June. We made a date and that was fine. However, not only did no one show up on the agreed upon date, he completely ghosted me. I had recently purchased some end chairs for my dining room from Wayfair, that came with wobbly and rather dinky legs. It was a shame though because the chairs & upholstery itself was beautiful. The chairs just weren't tall or substantial enough to sit next to my other dining chairs, or table for that matter. I emailed a few different furniture repair companies to see what options i had, and Mike responded incredibly quickly. I spoke to him, explained him what my situation was. I texted him a few pics of the chairs. He called me and we discussed my options. I appreciated him giving me pricing on both extending the existing legs (which would have saved money could he do it), and pricing on replacing and rebuilding new legs altogether. He was coming to my neck of the woods a couple of days later (Aurora/Denver) to pick up some other furniture from a client, & offered to come take a look in person, and take them back with him to fix or replace. He picked them up on a Thursday. By Friday I received a phone call with his recommendation. I appreciated him trying to save me money by offering to give the chairs back because it turned out after all that the Wayfair chairs were sort of poorly made, so there wasn't much for him to work with using the existing legs. Therefore he couldn't just use the existing legs and prop them up. He would have to replace (which I suspected). So, told him I would rather have him build new ones. He told me that was no problem. I also asked him to make a "bit more substantial legs" for the new ones. Mike definitely has an eye for furniture because somehow, someway, he knew exactly what I wanted. He promptly dropped them off on Tuesday when he was back this direction. Well let me tell you the new legs he built are beautiful! So well built, exactly what i wanted and what should have been on these chairs to begin with! The chairs are now super sturdy, can stand up to my other brand name (PB) chairs, and they just look gorgeous. I'm so thankful. Mike is awesome! We had a dresser that fell down in transit and several drawers were badly damaged. We were sure that the dresser was ruined. Nope... Mike was able to repair the drawers and you can't tell that it was ever damaged. He only charged us about $125 for his time and services, a great value in our opinion. After a $200.00 per chair estimate for our 26 y.o. wood dining chairs from another company I was seriously considering purchasing new chairs. After reading the positive reviews on Mike I thought I will see what he says. Mike's quote was considerably less than the other furniture repair place and he said he would drive out to my home take a look at the chairs and if they were beyond repair he would let me know before he started any work on them. Mike Tadlock and his crew are kind, respectful, talented and do incredible work. They took some 1970's side dining chairs I found at a used furniture store and reupholstered the fabric and refinished the wood. They look amazing! They also reupholstered and repaired dining captains chairs. Our dining room is now the heart of our home where the family gathers. I was connected with Mike after a moving company damaged several pieces of furniture. This included lots of dings, gouges, entire sides of furniture that was dragged on the ground and the frame of sectional sofa that was broken in two places. Mike and his wife, Tammy, came to our house and fixed the dings, holes and scratches on our master bathroom and laundry room cabinets. They also re-painted the guest bathroom cabinets in our basement. They did an awesome job! They also went the extra mile and touched up on our master bathroom furniture and fixed a big crack in one of our kitchen cabinet drawers. We had 7 pieces of vintage furniture (a buffet, a secretary that was damaged in our move and 5 cane-seated chairs) that needed a facelift. Mike was very responsive to the request for an estimate, returning my email within a few hours. He suggested an on-site visit for the most accurate estimate, and we arranged an appointment a couple of days later. He came on time, inspected the pieces, and provided a quote the next day. In lieu of complete refinishing, Mike suggested "deluxing" the furniture to provide a "like new" finish. We also requested he repair the damaged secretary and replace some of the outdated hardware on the buffet. He answered all of our questions and we agreed on the price. A few weeks later we were at the top of his schedule. He picked up and returned our newly deluxed furniture within the week. We have a large wood library table that came to us third-hand many years ago, which we have used for over 20 years as a craft table, desk, and occasional dining table on our back porch. The top was dinged, scraped, faded, and had plenty of water marks. The legs and especially the "feet" were in really bad shape. The varnish and stain had worn off completely in places, and the feet were worn out. But i loved it and so my husband began looking for a way to get it repaired and refinished. He contacted Mike, who came out, looked at the table, and explained what could be done. I was home when Mike returned the table today. I recognized the table only by its shape and dimensions, because it had been transformed into a showroom piece. I mean that sincerely. All dings, scrapes, stains, water marks, and other issues had been repaired. The feet looked brand new. Mike told me they had taken the table apart in order to work on each piece separately, then reassembled it. He clearly loves working with wood furniture. I appreciate you, Mike! read more
