I went in and purchased a floor model and barstools. The floor model was damaged in the process of bringing to my car. I was given my $$ back. I also purchased 3 stools. On pickup I was given 1 assembled chair and 2 unassembled in a box. When I questioned I was advised that's how they come.. I called back and was then advised they charge $2.50 per chair to assemble. I was never advised and couldn't understand why they would not advise the charges. I had 1/2 a home to furnish but after these 2 experiences I would not recommend this store read more

Purchased entire bedroom, living room, and dining room furniture sets from the Evansville, In store in the summer of '23. The living room sofa recliner needed servicing within 5-6 months. No problem as technician arrived within THIRTY-FIVE days and made repair. A separate issue with the recliner was not in this tech's area of expertise, so he recommended calling the store. Someone came to inspect, but I didn't hear anything back. My salesperson moved on. Calls were made 2-3 times weekly. I finally made a trip to the store late October '24. An agreement was made to replace the sofa and recliner for a bit of an upcharge as "that one is no longer in stock." My furniture was to be delivered tomorrow, but I received a call from Furniture Row informing me that the order came in wrong ‍. The manager actually asked me if I would accept a manual reclining sofa, or would I prefer waiting TWO MORE weeks. Christmas is 2 weeks away, I am hosting guests and I am yet dealing with this. Very poor service. We have been to this store twice now and both times no one helped us or even greeted us when we walked in. We walked in, 2 employees looked up from their phones then immediately back at their phones. Not even a smile. We fell in love with a sectional. We kept looking around for a sales person and no one ever came. We looked through the fabrics and had everything picked out to order the sectional. Unfortunately no one ever helped us and we never even saw a salesman/woman. So we left and went to a different furniture store. We were prepared to purchase the sectional and a few other pieces of furniture. Their loss. I am in customer service and retail so I am always giving people the benefit of the doubt. But this is just very poorly managed store. Guess whatever was on their phones were more important than making the sale. read more

Complete horrible experience! My husband and I walked into the store, no one was around, no one greeted us. We saw a few sales guys talking across the room who did not bother to approach us. We passed by this service desk area and the man sitting down heard me say is anyone here who then asked what we were looking for, we said recliners, he pointed in a direction and said he would walk us over there but doesn't know anything about them so he wouldn't be much help. My husband just had kidney removal surgery a few days prior so he can't walk that much. We walked a bit down where the man posted and only saw a couple, but they were like $5K, we didn't see any others close enough and no one was around to ask. I couldn't have my husband walk around the entire store in his condition. This was our 2nd horrible experience at this store, our first was when we purchased bar stools and to be honest I only purchased them because they were what I needed right away. We will not be going back! They didn't bother caring for our business so we purchased elsewhere! They deserve 0 stars!!! read more

Over 3 weeks ago we bought 2 dinning room chairs. Simple huh. Paid to have them assembled. They never called to let us know they were in. Then never put them together. We bought a mattress from them two months ago and it's already Breaking down badly. You can already clearly identify where we sleep. You cannot comfortably sit In the middle because the sides are so broken down. This king size mattress is a complete piece of junk. My table that I spent a ton of money fell apart within a month. Could not get a call back from the store until after store warranty ended and even then took leaving a bad review before someone replied. Tried using the expensive warranty they sold us but it covers nothing they claimed to get me to buy. Finally the response from store was here's a company that you can pay to repair our garbage. Spent over $3,000 on a living room set at this store. My wife and I purchased a six piece sectional with two end tables and a coffee table. It was a month after purchase before we received our sectional and coffee table an additional two months after that before we were able to pick up our end tables, which were not assembled when we got there. The staff were not very knowledgable in the features of the furniture but knew everything there is to know when it comes to getting you financed. They try so hard to just sell you on their deals instead of they're "high quality" furniture. While looking at the sectional that we eventually purchased (it has powered reclining seats and powered entertainment consoles) we asked how many power cords it would have and how many plug ins it would have to use to power the whole thing. We were told it has 6 cords but they all plug into each other like christmas tree lights so we would only need two available plugs in our house to power it. Which sounded great for where it needed to go in our house and the lack of plug ins available for it. When the sectional arrived to our disbelief we found out that it has 6 individual plug ins that did not plug in to themselves as we were told. So the initial two required wall plug in that we were told were sufficient enough to power it turned into six required wall plug ins. We had to run new electrical in our house just to get the couch fully powered. The built in phone chargers (usb ports) take a very long time to charge anything as well. We purchased this sectional with financing intending to have it payed after we got everything we were promised. Billing wise it would have worked out great. Our first bill we were told wasn't supposed to arrive until the end of March by which time we were supposed to have everything in our house by the beginning of March and then we would pay off the set. ( i do not like to pay for anything until i actually have it in my possession). But on March 15 we get a notice saying we are past due on our bill. Turns out our first bill was actually due at the end of February. Once we heard this we had to very carefully talk our way out of a significant late payment which thankfully worked. With that settled i called the store curious as to why they seemed so misinformed and why we were lied to many times thru all of this. At that point we were treated with such disrespect from one of the women there that i was damn close to retuning the whole thing. Oh and we had to have the delivery guys come back out to fix our sectional after we noticed it was not out together right. So in conclusion. -misinformed staff -staff that are disrespectful -extremely late delivery of purchases -some products were not as advertised (but that could easily fall back on misinformed staff) -staff are more interested in hooking you into great deals than getting you quality furniture for your home. -furniture comes with assembly required. So you'd be better off just going to ikea or big lots and saving a fortune in the process. -no attention is payed to the details of the furniture before they send it out. - staff that are more willing to just make up an answer rather than seek out and tell you the right information. -staff that would rather argue than listen. -and finally it just seems that no one there actually gives a damn about you, just your money. read more

The staff didn't help me at all. Once I picked out my furniture myself, and paid way too much for it, I asked to have it delivered. Delivery took 3 weeks and they gave me a 4 hour time window so I had to take off work. 3 months later the couch broke and they refuse to replace it even though I purchased the warranty. My all time favorite furniture store is Oak Express. I moved into an older home downtown that has a lot of bedrooms and living rooms that were empty. Over the past two years I have managed to fill these rooms thanks to the excellent knowledge and customer service the store manager Greg Crawford has. He has helped me furnish the house in a way that keeps with the age and style. I don't know what I would have been sitting on, eating at or sleeping in if I didn't find this "8th Wonder located in Evansville". A big thank you goes out to Greg and all of his staff. So far, so good. Both of the sales people were very helpful and honest. They even caught a mistake in the estimate and gave me a $200 credit for their error. Also, the salesman brought to my attention my $150 in rewards dollars and suggested I use them towards delivery, leaving only $40 left for me to cover which was incredible.
