Editing this review as the customer service for this company was surprisingly bad. My wife and I purchased a new mattress from Tim at Big Sandy Superstore in Evansville Indiana. We ended up purchasing a new Sealy Posturepedic Elite Hybrid. We verified they would ship to our house in Illinois. No issues or so we thought..... The shipment arrived and the order had to be returned due to multiple items being damaged and filthy. The store manager reached out to corporate and the regional manager to check policies on resolving the issue. Corporate said refund them and tell them to buy it somewhere else. The regional manager said they would only reship the mattress and they didn't know when they would ship it. We purchased the bed as a mattress, box springs and mattress cover and the corporate and regionals managers responses were basically we don't care about your business. We had the entire order refunded and we will never return to a Big Sandy Superstore again. The only reason this review is getting a two star is because Tim (salesmen) and the store manager (Eric) were understanding to our issue and frustration. They don't realize they work for a terrible company. I hope this will help shed light on who they work for. read more

We went to Super Sandy's with the Black Friday ad that advertised . Buy 4 or more appliances and get $500 rebate or Buy 3 appliances and get $300 dollar rebate. We showed them the Flyer and said we want these 4 appliances on the ad for $500 rebate. During the purchase process when we asked about rebates they said it would not be one rebate for $500 but implied it would be several adding up to $500. after spending hours on phone with rebate company over several days We came to realize it was a $250 rebate. When I called the store they said it was not $500 because the refrigerator they sold us with the set did not qualify in the bundle even though we went in and said we want what is in the ad. Classic bait and switch in my opinion. They said if you look through all the paper work they highlighted $300 and even said so in the text that I still have. When I said it was only $250 how do I get the other $50 by mail or do I come in and get it. They abruptly stopped responding and have ghosted ever since. They are clearly a business that I cannot trust . That is just the tip of the iceberg. When dish washer was delivered after opening up and removing rack it was revealed that the inside had been dented badly. They said they would be happy to replace but they had to have a repair tech come out and deem it not repairable before they could send another one. I said I do not want a repaired one we have not even installed yet. They said he just has to verify it's not repairable before ordering new one. so that was a long process without hot walter or a drain. Then they said the refrigerator was discontinued and we had to take a different one than we paid for. They said it was cheaper and they would change the amount. I have yet to verify we got a lower cost due to them changing our order. I am not confident in them doing the right thing as far as that goes so I will monitor and see if they change the total price to reflect the change in refrigerator model. I will never buy anything from them again and will tell anybody that will listen how they do business. read more

I went to BigSandy on 3/15, Chuck greeted me and educated on the Grand Opening Specials. If you spend $1,000 then you get 6% off, if you spend over $3,000 then a free TV. I ended up selecting a sectional that was $1,188.99 as well as an ottoman and a protection plan with free delivery. I was then quoted a price of $2,200. After my order was entered into the computer I was then told that I owed $2,500. I asked to see a print out of all the charges and realized that I was being well overcharged for every piece of the sectional as well as for the ottoman and a delivery charge on top of the protection plan. After discussing this further with the General Manager it was revealed that Chuck had rang it in at full price rather than the Manger Special price. I then also asked about the 6% off as well since we were paying over $1,000, and I was informed that the 6% would not apply since it was a Manager Special and they would be giving Chuck some additional training. On 3/22 delivery was attempted at 2PM but I realized that the sectional was facing the opposite direction of what we requested so I refused the delivery and called Big sandy but was directed to a call center. I was advised that they did not have a resolution for me and once they did they would be in touch. So I then went to the store. I was advised by the delivery people as well as the floor manager that this happens a lot and offered me a new delivery date of 3/27. The General Manager also advised that they would be sending a gift card after the furniture was delivered and again stated he would be giving Chuck some training. On 3/27 I was provided a delivery window 2:30-6:30, but the delivery did not arrive until 7:23PM. I was advised that they still had 5 more deliveries to make that night and it was almost 8:00! We went to Big Sandy Superstore for a recliner. Pam was our salesperson, and she directed us to the area where they were and let us have time alone to look and try them out. She came back and answered all our questions and was able to give us a price on the recliner we wanted. She even told us about the sale they had at the time and how we could save more money. We went home to think about the recliner and later decided to get an end table and sofa table to go with our purchase. I texted her the furniture information and she got back with the prices on the two tables. We talked about it and decided with the sale that will still going on, that we were getting a good deal. We returned to the store a couple days later and had Pam place the order. We were very happy with the service Pam provided as she made us feel like family and not customers. read more

Not much went right with our experience. The salesperson entered the order incorrectly doubling the quantity and price of the breakfast nook group. They wanted 100% payment for furniture that was 10-12 weeks lead time. I insisted on 50% which is what was settled upon. The delivery was over an hour past the window and the delivery team of two couldn't have done much worse. Our front door frame was hit with chairs, the casing into the breakfast area was hit with chairs and they attempted to lean the heavy table against some cabinetry that had just been installed and painted. The chairs, the table and the bench all had various damage. I believe some of the damage was inflicted by the delivery team during assembly. The delivery team has no concept of means and methods nor any consideration for the customer's home. The furniture was replaced, which we received today, delivered by the same team leader, who did an equally poor job performing his duty. As to the paint damage, which would have cost more than the furniture to repaint, we received a $50 gift card to Big Sandy---NO THANK YOU! read more
