I was hard pressed not to scoop up a full set of 12 volumes of modern art books, as well as a stack of coffee table books featuring museum collections around the world, but space at home is not limitless. Nice people running the place, and the $ goes to Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Parking the day I was there was easy, but fairly limited, although you can probably park on the street if all the spots along the curved driveway are taken.

Tony was also looking for some work jeans at a reasonable price. No need to pay full retail for jeans for work that are going to get all stained up anyway. But again we found nothing, today we were more window shopping but in this case bin and shelf diving/shopping. The store was large and slightly bit musky smelling like something had been under some major water and caused damage. And they have amazing prices compared to other thrift stores. I ended up purchasing 4 things - a dresser, two chairs, and a coat 'tree'. An employee walks with you, marks what you want to buy, then checks you out. They will then help you load big pieces. Shout out to Seth & Wayne for being an amazing help to us on a busy weekend.

The run occasional deals, where you call fill up a whole bag with clothes, for 5 dollars! The woman who runs the store is also very friendly. They pay their utility bills, rent, and then give everything else away. They've helped out local families, and places like the Hartford Library. The store is a little cluttered and disorganized at times, but I don't mind. They are volunteers doing their best. :) If you'd like to donate you must come during business hours. This place is such a wonderful community business for Johnstown. I try to stop in regularly :)
