For 3+ days, 2x per day visit seems more appropriate so the kids do not get too lonely (they love people). A few trips were unplanned so my requests were last minute and Keri (owner) was always very accommodating. It's hard to take trips with fur kids, but it makes me feel so much better knowing they are looking after them. I love the emails describing the visit (and sometimes photos too!). The kids always seem calm, happy, and well-fed when I return. I just received an email that Paws is expanding and now offering overnights - which I may take advantage of in the future!

When we arrived to drop them off, the staff wasn't friendly or inviting, which should have been our tell-all. Walking back to the kennel, it was dark, cold, uninviting, and sad. The worst part was picking them up. We arrived early, which gave us the true picture of their time there. They were so frantic to get out of there, they weren't happy to see us, but instead blazed past us for the front door like they were trying to escape. We've never seen them act this way. Despite having "outdoor access" their beds and blankets smelled so badly of pet waste we had to discard them, and they were having to lay in that filth and stink because they seemed to have had nowhere else to go. They also had never been given their toys or treats. The staff was as cold and unfriendly as when we left them, we should have run for our lives and never ever left our babies there. I deducted one star for ease of communication and updates. Communication with Jennifer is through email. She's not a texter, so it takes an hour or so for her to get back to you. Not bad response time at all and I'm sure she would call you immediately if there was a need. I would completely trust her to handle an emergency. But we had a pet sitter in a different state that texted updates with photos at every visit, and scheduled through text. It was just faster communication and the photo updates were a nice touch.
