Took my rescue Maltese in this morning and couldn't be happier. He was done in about an hour which I think is incredibly reasonable. Pricing was fantastic. I am new to the area and my little guy's nails were getting to be a pain- literally so I went to yelp. To my surprise- not really as not many ppl use yelp in Hopkinsville- the pickings were slim so I went to Facebook and found Furry Friends. They are located in a strip mall and they offer grooming, boarding, and daycare. According to their Facebook page, their price list is as follows: *Basic bath and nails(includes bath, nails, ear cleaning and anal gland expression) ~Small/medium dog $15-$18 ~Large dog $18-$24 *Bath and sanitary(includes bath, nails, ear cleaning, anal gland expression, sanitary trim and general shape up) ~Small/medium dog $18-$24 ~Large dog $22-$32 *Haircut(includes bath, nails, ear cleaning, anal glad expression and full cut) ~Small/medium dog $25-$35 ~Large dog $40-$85 *TRUE deshed, blowout and thinning of coat on any size dog can be an extra $5-$15 depending on labor and time. *Custom chalk hair color(safe, non-staining, temporary) is an additional $5 *Severe matting may result in a $5-$15 up charge. They had a full daycare of adorable pooches that were all calm and relaxed- if I were a pooch, I would want to hang out there! There were two woman working- both were very nice and the one lady took him right away and a few minutes later I had my pooch back in my arms with perfectly manicured nails, a bandanna, and a sweet smell from their pooch spritz. $6.00 later we were out the door and will most definitely return! Do NOT take your babies here! I took two of mine there on 1-4-2020 and brought them home (5 minutes away) and immediately got a witness to help me take multiple pictures of the blood from both dogs nails cut too short, the multiple blood spots and multiple cuts on BOTH dogs bodies from being cut too close. The haircut was choppy and uneven and looked bad in general. When we called and questioned them they said, " The young girl told us to cut the dogs short." Apparently saying, "cut the dogs" literally meant cut the dogs at this groomers. I told them I would come in on Monday with proof through pictures and an app showing when and where I've been places with exact location and times. Monday the doors were closed and I called anonymously outside the door asking if they were open because the door is locked and says closed and they said they were open. I confronted them on 1-8-2020 and was told I cut my dogs, the cuts were rashes, I'm not getting my money back (over and over again). I continuously said I understand no money back, I don't appreciate the lying and not even an apology of any kind or even saying I'm sorry you're unhappy. They also tried to say my grandmother told them she was mad about the prices and was rude. I said that's false (I was next to her with the phone on speaker when we called the groomers) but I'm sorry if that happened later. I also told them that the main reason we went to them is because of the affordable price. I said no laws were broken and I don't have any recording currently on me and even if I did I'd have to legally tell them. I've been taking my maltipoo here for a little over a year and they have been amazing! I believe the prices are beyond reasonable, anywhere else locally was charging upwards of $50 for a groom, nails, sanitary clean and they have been consistent of $25! Even sometimes when I know he was a little more matted it's never gone up. When I pick my pooch up he's so happy to see me then get in the car knocked out tired and lazy the rest of the day! A sure sign he had a blast at the groomers! All the workers I've encountered are beyond friendly, well worth the drive for me knowing he's in great hands there! Most mornings I call and they get him in same day as long as I bring him in before eleven. Also, very convenient. I'll be sad when we move as I know quality grooming at an affordable price is so hard to come by! read more
