Overall great location close to campus, pretty nice apartments with new appliances and nice bathrooms. Unfortunately, I've had issues with some leaks and know of a few people who have had their apartments flooded. Fairly certain a package of mine went missing (from Amazon, says delivered online), and I've had trouble with people parking in the wrong spots earlier this year. Avoid living here. This place is awful and only benefits because of the housing crisis on campus and lack of choice for students. My son has lived at Fuse for the last 3 years - each year hoping they would improve because the location is great. Not to be. Main issues are lack of accountability from the GM and rest of staff has this "not my problem, nothing I can do attitude". They don't respond to maintenance requests, blame you for losing packages, and IF you get a live person you have to deal with them blaming you for the situation/issue - completely unprofessional and awful to work with. Cleanliness is horrible (constant garbage piled up on the floors outside the garbage shoots), poor security, elevators frequently down and mind blowingly slow, months of no hot water and avoidance of the issue until university got involved and students filed a lawsuit. Yes, they are under new management this year (2025-2026 school year) which is wonderful because they fixed the hot water issue but ALL the core issues remain. AVOID this dump. read more

Do not live here. Save yourself the trouble. It's not worth it. The elevators are death traps(firefighters agreed with me), the building is disgusting, and they don't fix or clean anything unless forced to. There has been two incidents where vomit sat for months, the 5th floor trash chute has been broken for months, all of the elevator FIRE DOORS have been broken for close to a year now. There was water leaking from a light in the hallway once, I went to the main desk to say something and I got looked at and told, "oh yea, it leaks some times". It is not abnormal for a sewage pipe in the parking garage to leak for weeks without it being touched. Can't forget half the time you will either have cold water and no hot water or no cold water and only hot water. There is almost never a middle between both. I talked to some firefighters yesterday and they said they had to come to Fuse FOUR TIMES IN A DAY to rescue people from the elevators. They don't do upkeep or preventative maintenance. It's honestly hard to think of all the terrible things this place does to put into a review. There's so much. The building is under new management but don't think that means the older reviews are any less relevant. Despite new management, Fuse remains a catastrophic living situation and the most overpriced, poorly maintained residence on campus. The issues I've encountered in the past six months are not only numerous but also indicative of a systemic failure in management and maintenance. Here's what they've messed up: Black mold, frequent water outages (including days without water), broken elevators, non-functional security doors, dismissive responses, lack of effective repairs, poor communication, a general disregard for resident concerns, hallways smelling of drugs and trash. All of this and you're paying the most expensive rent on campus for a subpar gym, and a relatively mediocre living space. Save your money don't live here. read more

The staff here are really nice and helpful. They've always been willing to answer any questions I have and work with me on problems However, I hate the parking garage here. Apartments are generally nice, though a bit small, rooms especially. Center island for four bed has only two stools and no other table which is annoying. Management isn't trying to screw you like I've heard of Hub and Rise, but is generally pretty incompetent. When we moved in they'd thrown away our couch before bothering to make sure a new one had arrived, and didn't fix this for two months, of course providing us no compensation for having an unusable living room for half a semester. Maintenance requests are sometimes just ignored and can be frustrating (the actual maintenance guy is great though). The gym lacks ability to squat except on a terrible machine that's falling apart and the one bench with a bar is also pretty bad. Overall pretty nice inside, the location is great for classes but don't underestimate how long it is to get to food/bars especially when cold. Parking is horrible, $60/mo to have an A spot and be able to use your car, and 40 or 20 for B and C spots where you'll never get it out from behind other ones (tandem parking). Huge rip off but they know you have no choice. read more

Upon first glance and inspection of the rooms the place looks great. Don't be fooled. I've sent tons of emails to my landlord about move-in and other things with no response only to be emailed a few days later with her requesting something from me? Rude. Then first time I thought 'OH well it just got caught up in her other emails.' But after the THIRD email, I mean, come on. $2,980 for a 4 bed room apartment and they can't hire someone to staff the lobby at all times. -___- that's not too big of a deal. Maybe it's the printer that never has paper or the wifi that never works when I am in the middle of homework. Maybe it's how my apartment only has blazing hot water. I COULDN'T TAKE A SHOWER BECAUSE IT WAS LIKE FIRE, MAN, FIRE. The location is nice and the kitchen and bathrooms are super dope. Y'all need to check in with your residents and raise some popularity. Overpriced and building is in poor shape. The parking garage sucks for any car larger than a bug and costs a lot of extra money per month. Elevators broke frequently, often with people inside. Walls are thin so you can hear everything the people around you are doing, and smell their food too. Didn't have water for almost a full day because a pipe burst and flooded. Wifi literally does not work, I spent hours on the phone with the people supposed to be helping with Internet. I tried multiple different networks through them and nothing worked, I had to leave my apartment for guaranteed Internet connection. Maintenance was helpful the couple times they came to visit so that was alright I guess. Staff didn't wear masks when they were supposed to and most of the time no one was at the front desk so package pickup was a gamble. Its in decent condition but absolutely not worth the price charged. They also charged 75 dollars after move out for two trash cans and a couple small cardboard boxes. I do not recommend living here to anyone unless you're rich and want to suffer for 12 months. read more

Great amenities and location, especially for students in Engineering. Staff is helpful and the community engagement events such as cookouts are a nice touch. Since it is such a new building there are very rarely any problems with AC, heat, etc. and if there are the issue is fixed right away. The gym is well equipped and rarely busy which is an upside over the always active Co-rec, plus with it being so close to home, there's always time for a quick workout. The steam room is a nice way to unwind especially in the winter. Indoor bike storage and an underground parking garage means you'll never have to worry about built up snow slowing you down. While Fuse may not be as flashy as the new Chauncy high-rises, it is still a great place to call home. read more

Great location and nice amenities. Other than that, the parking garage is terribly set up-- my car got lots of scrapes from the poles and other people parking in the wrong spots making it hard to get out (which was never monitored until I complained multiple times about it.) the maintenance staff is awesome, security guard at night is really friendly and nice, but some of the office staff do not like to help you and will roll their eyes when you go to them. Also when we moved in, our apartment was dirty and we asked them to come clean it again. They said they did, however it was not done well. When you pay a $50 cleaning fee at the end, you want to make sure it's actually being put to use. While the study room and free printer are nice, the WiFi goes out about twice a week. The walls here are super thin, so you get a lot of unwanted noise and you can always smell people's cooking. There is no ventilation in the apartments, so we set off our unit fire alarm once a month simply from cooking dinner. While I don't believe Fuse is worth the price tag, if you are willing to pay, you get a great location, nice neighbors, and lots of food/shopping conveniences. With all the other apartments going in around Purdue, Fuse will have to lower their rates if they want to fill up. Overall, enjoyed living here, but was frustrated by something going wrong at Fuse far to often for what I was paying. Also- they used our apartment multiple times for tours. While they called and asked us beforehand, we still had to make sure someone was home during the tour because we didn't want anything to show up missing (especially because yours aren't covered in the lease.) We also would spend time cleaning before hand, so I believe there should be some sort of incentive if they are going to continue doing this or they should just make one of the empty apartments into a model. It was ironic how when we signed our lease and asked to see an apartment "they didn't have one to show," yet they showed ours to people once we lived in. We let them do it, because we wanted to see them when we were thinking about living here and weren't given the option. Just found this ironic and would have appreciated some incentive or something. read more

MAJOR RIP-OFF! THINK TWICE BEFORE SIGNING A LEASE. Don't trust recent glowing reviews---many new kissy ones may have been bought off by a cheap gift card (read the Yelp warning!) while you're stuck with a 12 month lease. Last year Fuse had a one star rating on most sites and I 100% regret not signing at the Hub or Chauncy Square--would have saved me literally $1000s. Look beyond the sales pitch and slick pics on their website because once you've sign & move in, here's the reality: Wi-Fi is horrible (as is cell reception); roommate pairings are mismanaged; package delivery is so bad I had to use Amazon pick-up; utilities cost 3X what they told me; management is unresponsive so any maintenance issues are nearly impossible to get addressed in a timely manner (took 2 months and threat of legal action to get black mold removed from bathroom.) Fuse's promise about "helping you sublet" over the summer is a JOKE and borderline FRAUDULENT. Fuse gets their rent from you either way so won't help you out unless they can benefit, which they do by gouging sublet candidates a non-refundable fee to apply (btw a credit check costs $5 to run.) If a sublet does get approved, there's a $350 to the original lessee. After 7+ interested parties, I finally got a sublet approved in final month of July--I suspect this was only because Fuse saw a chance to sign tenant for a one year lease. Do yourself a favor---look past the pics/sales pitches and read only REAL reviews from former occupants. Other places--esp the new ones--offer MUCH better rates & more amenities for a lot less $. read more

I would have given no stars but that isn't possible. The apartments are expensive. But the worst part is the management and office staff are terrible. Every year about November they start giving out $70 late fees even though their late billing is the cause of the problem. They don't bill you for utilities for 3 months and back bill you and add late fees. Management will never return your phone calls and you aren't able to reach the corporate office except via email. Also ladies be careful they will put a male roommate in your apartment without even giving you notice after you have told them you don't want to live with a male roommate. read more
