My 11 yr old son has been training at Fusion Elite Performance Training Center for years & loves it. Martial arts is his choice of sport & art form. He tested for his 1st degree black belt this year based on Great Grand Master Ernie Reyes' West Coast World Martial Arts curriculum which consists of tae kwon do, kick boxing, grappling among other types of self defense techniques. Aside from his mixed martial arts classes, he is also enrolled in the Jujitsu program. Master Joey Febres is the owner & it's a great privilege for my son to be taught by him alongside other talented, respectable, high ranking black belt instructors. This school/facility has a family atmosphere. There's a program for everyone... from different styles of martial arts, to music, to dance. People from ages 3+ can benefit from one if not all of the following... discipline, physical fitness, self confidence, self defense, life skills, camaraderie, etc. These are all of the reasons & more as to why my son continues to train at Fusion Elite. Deciding to homeschool one of our children was one of the most challenging decisions we have made as parents yet. With that said, reaching out to Fusion Elite cemented the realization that we were doing the right thing for our child. I first reached out via email to ask a few questions and I received a speedy response from one of their fabulous associates "Emily". All of my questions were answered and I was encouraged to stop by to tour the facility. Emily was as wonderful in person as she was corresponding via email. It was all informative with absolutely no pressure (anyone can appreciate that). Throughout these last few weeks it is abundantly clear that, at Fusions, they want you and your family to be happy. The environment at the academy is a nurturing and positive one. You can see that the kids are motivated and proud to be there as they confidently move about. There are plenty of class subject options to choose from throughout the day on Tuesdays and Thursdays but the teachers are the icing on the cake, they are awesome! Our first grader is pretty well advanced (which was the primary reason we chose to homeschool) and finding programs that can accommodate him has been an arduous task. Mr Miguel's Ancient Civilizations History class on Tuesdays is a cut above. It is informative, interesting and it moves at a good pace so the kids never get bored. There are some in that class who have never even heard of Egypt and there are kids who can tell you creation stories, in either case it is excellent for everyone involved. If the instructor is fired up about the material the kids will be too and Mr Miguel is always excited about what he is teaching. Mr Joey's math class is awesome, he makes it fun for them! Just like the history class, it is well suited whether the students know a lot or a little. Mr Joey caters to the individual which is an absolute dream come true for any parent who wants the best education for their child. I feel like we struck gold with Mr Joey and this place! Do yourself a favor and at least check out their schedule! They are flexible and will answer any questions you may have. I will say it again and again, this place has been so good to us. So grateful. My 6 year old daughter is in the Little Dragons Karate class. She loves it. We go twice a week for a half hour each class. The price is reasonable. The place is very nice and plenty of spaces for us parents to sit and watch in a nice air conditioning place. There is always other classes going on. I would recommend this to all parents.
