Very disappointed in Fuss. I order x6 large 'specialty' flower cupcakes and x24 mini 'specialty' cupcakes for my moms 80th Birthday party. I received my order but only half of the mini cupcakes (these had to be prepaid as the are considered 'specialty'). We had arranged to pick up from them the night before the party so that we wouldn't have to pick up the morning of because there was a lot of other preparations to do for the event. But yet, that is what happened anyway - had to pick up in the morning, the remainder of the mini's. Compensation? x2 regular size cupcakes. (sad face) Prior to placing the order, I had sent photos of what I wanted and was assured that Absolutely they could do the same. I did not get that at all. I wanted the cupcakes to be individually designed with different flower designs and then have the round hard silver coloured candies sprinkled on the tops. What I got was all the same simple design on all of the cupcakes, with some red, some white, some pink. I had asked for a dusty-rose coloured icing (as sent in photos) mixed with some white, pink and light pink icing - but the dusty rose colour to be the 'theme.' Again, assured they could fill this order. These cupcakes are not 'cheap' by any means. Very very disappointed that they sold me on something they could not fulfill. I will be searching elsewhere in the future. I wish I could post photos so you could see the difference in what I had asked for and what I got. Fuss just doesn't taste as good to me anymore. I'm not sure if my taste buds have expanded and expect more because of other shoppes we have tried but my order of 6 assorted tonight was a hit/miss. The Cherry Cheesecake was good but the others fell short - Maple (tasted like ginger NOT Maple and I cook with fresh ginger all the time), Tirimisu (wouldn't have guessed it in a million years), and three chocolate ones were so so. We were told one was red velvet but it was not :-( The only cupcake of my 6 with a unique flavored cake was the Cherry one - the others all had the standard white or chocolate cake & the buttercream was okay but nothing to write home about. Usually, I hide my treats from the toddler who would be just as happy with a cupcake from Walmart... But alas, not this time - Eat up my 4 year old and enjoy! I will say that their actual cake part was quite moist even on the 2nd day after they had been cut in 1/2 on the first day - for the quality/moistness I will bump them up to 3; otherwise, they would have sat at 2. Fuss Cupcakes is hands down my favourite cupcake shop!! Everything tastes wonderful!! I have been using them for special occasions for years. Birthdays, my sisters wedding, many baby showers... We always go to Fuss for our cake needs!! Even just last week they made a few birthday cakes for us. Had a root beer cupcake with a vanilla root beer buttercream. This is a feature cupcake for last week. This is something very different from a typical cupcake that you've had before. If you love root beer then you'll love this. The buttercream has a slight fizziness to it - almost like drinking it. Cake part is very moist. Easily can finish this in one sitting. As usual there is way too much buttercream but I find commercially made cupcakes always piles the icing very high. The lady there was very nice! Over priced for a dozen fondant cupcakes I did not want. I wanted marshmallows stormtrooper cupcakes and instead they gave me 2D fondant stormtroopers. I wanted baby yoda and gave me a old ugly yoda. I wanted all the icing to match each character and gave me all white icing instead for every cup cake. I paid over $6 a cupcake and feel like an idiot for paying for such garbage. I called 6 days I advanced to place my order and did not get back to me until last minute so I could not place a special order else where. Never again!!!! I thought maybe after getting horrible looking cupcakes that they would taste awesome. Nope! When I have a sweet craving I cannot help but head straight to this fuss cupcake location. After a few visits in the last month and a phone order I feel like I can give a good reveiw based on my experiences. First of all the main reason to go to fuss is for their delicious and moist cupcakes. My hands down favorite is the Scarlett O hara, a soft sweet red velvet cupcake that just melts in your mouth and delivers an instant sugar high. I have sampled a few of their others but this is always my favorite because it has a generous amount of icing and is just so damn good. The second reason I choose this location is because it has great customer service. The staff always seem willing to help and are very kind. It just makes you feel welcome when you go into that shop. I've had fuss a few times now and I just can't get enough. I've had a few of their multi flavor packs and it really gives you a great sense of what they can do with their baking. My favorite has to be their red velvet flavor. The cupcake is moist and tasty and the icing isn't over sweet, it's just right. They also add little pieces of chocolate on some flavors for decoration but it also adds to the flavor explosion. Most definitely a fan of fuss cupcakes and will continue to use them for events such as birthdays and parties. Excellent! read more

I first found out about Fuss as they had been the ones to create a gorgeous cake and a couple hundred Red Velvet (and cream cheese icing) cupcakes, for my friends wedding. I also ordered an amazing mocha chocolate cake with cookies n cream filling, decadent chocolate topping, for my boyfriends birthday. Staff are very friendly and there is also seating for going in and having a cupcake and coffee. Their online menu is helpful in the event that you cannot make it in to place an order for a specialty cake. read more

Best cupcakes hands down, I wanted to the Edmonton South location to get my mom vanilla cake cupcakes with lemon icing as she has been quarantined since March in a seniors home and I drove over 30 kms one way to get them. I worked for a Physicians office for 9 years and have sampled every cupcake and cookie under the sun as patients and Medication Reps brought them all the time. I was hoping this was the place I had them from that were my favorite and I knew as soon as I walked in the store and saw them. Not the hard sugar icing, it was made from real butter and their icings werent blasted with food colouring enough to kill your insides and effects many peoples health negatively. I have never done a review but felt I needed to. Next time I will use skip the dish. Best thing you are able to pick your favorite cake flavor and icing for a couple extra dollars and i believe 24hrs notice and have exactly what you want. I haven't heard her comment yet on the lemon icing ones today as she is all cupcaked out for the day. We tried rootbeer cake and icing, then passion fruit and key lime icing both with white cake today and I never need to try another cupcake from anywhere else again. read more
