The barista greeted us first in Czech, then English. As my friend and I do not speak Czech, this was extremely helpful. I got a chai latte that was one of the best I've ever had, and my friend got cold brew. We also bought a brownie and slice of banana bread to split. Everything was delicious. The coffee shop itself had a very minimal, yet welcoming atmosphere. A lot of locals came in and out, which is always a good sign. There is free WiFi. I'd highly recommend checking out this place if you'd like a cup of coffee away from all the tourists in other parts of the city.

While the coffee was definitely good, it was the overall experience that the shop, and Stano, provided that made it a noteworthy experience on the trip. There were a solid amount of options of beans to take home, as well as several sachet options. They also had some cool merch, so I had to grab a shirt and some free stickers to bring back home. I would definitely come back to Coffee Room to enjoy the great customer service, laid-back vibes, and comfy aesthetics. I got a pumpkin spice latte with almond milk- tasted like one of those bottles strips you get with the addition of some pumpkin purée- wasn't bad but wasn't great. The milk wasn't vary hot either- it was barely warm at best. My brother got the gingerbread latte and it tasted really good though- still only just warm. If it wasn't for me trying my brother's gingerbread latte I'd give it 2 stars.

Get some ventilation or call it quits for smokers inside. Thirdly they only offer bleached white sugar. Again is this 1990 when raw sugar is not the king of cafes? I expected more cafe fra. You're lucky you have a nice place and staff to pick up your slack.

We had to work to get in at 8:30 three days before- and we went on a Monday night. Chef apparently has a local CZ show which makes him celebrity. Strongly recommend

The space itself is grand and beautiful, but the experience went downhill immediately. The hostess seemed to wield all the power in the room--no smile, barely any eye contact, just a curt and judgmental "no reservation." The restaurant was far from full. She then added, "I only have a side table for you," as if that were some sort of compromise. We accepted. At first glance, the waiters looked well presented, but with a bit more observation, the illusion faded. Some had sagging pants, untucked shirts, and most concerning, repeatedly inappropriate hand placement while on the floor. It happened more than once, which was uncomfortable and distracting (see photo). Overall, the place feels very pretentious without delivering on substance. The food wasn't anything special, and the desserts were average at best and certainly not worth the hype or the attitude. I wouldn't recommend Cafe Imperial to friends, especially if you're expecting a warm welcome or standout desserts.
