My 86-year-old mom fell three weeks ago and came to Future Care Chesapeake for rehabilitation. She has been here for two weeks now and I am very happy with the care she is receiving and her progress. Every department, without exception, from the stellar rehab group to the well-trained nursing staff has been wonderful. Everyone is respectful of my mom and her condition. She came to the facility extremely de-conditioned, unable to leave her bed due to miserable pain from broken ribs and other problems. Over the first few days the doctors and nurses got her pain under control and handled the indignity of her situation with care and concern. I have found, as a family member, it is easy to want your loved one to have instant access to staff and medication. While instant response may not always be possible, caring response has been provided for my mom every step of the way. The staff here at Chesapeake are pretty good. There are two aids in particular, Randy and Cheryl, who I adore. They really go above and beyond for me and always attend to my needs as quickly as possible. Almost all of the staff here is excellent, and while they are very busy, they work extremely hard to keep the residents happy. Regarding the food, I personally like the salads and soup that is offered. The entire building is very clean, and I have gotten good care during my stay. I had a cough but they're taking care of it. I came here to Future Care Chesapeake on January 14th of this year. The staff has been truly excellent. Eric, one of the nurses, and Rosita the aid are more than I could've asked for. Their attitude is always great. Although I wish they varied the menu options a bit, I can say this location is kept unbelievable clean. If you, or someone you know, is looking for a place like this I'd recommend considering FC Chesapeake. Especially if you need physical therapy, which is above and beyond here. I came here about a week ago. The staff and food are both very good. I love participating in all of the activities that they offer, and the onsie therapy has been very beneficial for me. I would recommend FutureCare Chesapeake to anyone...this is my second time here and I've recommended it to my own friends countless times. I like how they keep organized records and ask you questions, to really understand what is going on. It's very well managed and professional. read more

I got to FutureCare about 3 days ago. The staff is very nice, and the food is okay. I will say that the rooms are kept very clean. I get occupational and physical therapy once a day. While I wish I could get it more, it is very nice having it offered onsite. They offer a number of fun activities, like the sing-along I participated in yesterday. I have never been to another facility like this, but I have had a very good experience so far. read more

I have been here for over a week. Its been good, I've been making improvements to my health, and I participate in the in house pt and rehab. It's very clean. I would recommend to a friend because they constantly check on you and make sure that your needs are met. Staff changes but they're all great. The food is good and they have a lot of options. They're very courteous and obliging here and if you need anything they get it right away. read more

As these places run, its decent. A lot of the staff are friendly and accommodating, and the Aids are excellent and their managers are good. Housekeeping is very helpful. I have several friends in the housekeeping department and they're willing to help you get what you need, when the nurses are busy. As far as food goes, today we have pot roast which is great. The care is just better than anything I could get while living at home. read more

The staff at FutureCare, during my stay, were wonderful. Kathy, my speech therapist, and Brie are both such kind people and they work extremely hard. I really loved participating in the activities, especially bingo. I've been to numerous other facilities and they did not compare in the slightest. Chesapeake was kept very clean. I arrived to FC Chesapeake 2 weeks ago, but this is my 7th time here. The therapy in house makes it very easy. They've made it comfortable and I can see myself improving. Dr. McCullon is excellent. The doctors listen and work with you. I referred my sons mother in law for a significant problem, and she was very happy here. The food has improved. The quality of the nursing has improved dramatically. read more

My husband was admitted to the facility following a stroke and three weeks in a hospital. The staff was wonderful with him and the rehab department was amazing. After two weeks, I saw a huge improvement and was able to take him home. They also helped set up home rehab. The nursing staff communicated with me daily to see that his needs were met. I've been here for 3 years, and its been good. I feel comfortable. I don't usually make friends but here, I get to talk to everyone. The food is alright. I would recommend this place to a friend, if they needed the care. Wendy, the GNA is so caring and lovely. She goes out of her way to help you. You have to get used to it, but it definitely becomes more enjoyable overtime. read more

I am newly here. Its not home, but its very pleasant here. The staff is accommodating. Having physical therapy in the building makes it very easy and the food here is not terrible. If you are independent and like making your own decisions, I would recommend you come here for treatment. read more

It's fine here, they have very good care. They offer activities to keep residents occupied, and the bingo is very fun, I think we all enjoy it. It's very clean, and the in-house PT and cleanliness are likely the best aspects of the facility. Top notch! read more

The nurses and staff here, do a great job take care of me, and are very helpful. I think everyone tries to do a great job. I particularly like the activities, especially entertainment. They bring in great live music sometimes, and I really enjoy that. read more
