As parents of 3 young children we are always looking for an affordable, reliable, and fun way for our children to spend their summer vacation. We have been part of many different camps and programs and we have always found that the cookie cutter approach to camp doesn't work for our kids as their needs and interests vary from one another. This summer we took a chance at Future Stars at the Grant Campus in Brentwood and are we glad we did! From scheduling their weeks at camp with a variety of activities-( our son had a summer of Baseball, Basketball, Magic, Detective Camp and Roblox and Minecraft Design while our daughter went to Dance Camp, Magic, and Art Camp), to speaking to staff (who also were parents of campers) on evenings and weekends to meeting with John and Keith (the incredible director and assistant director), and even throughout the summer meeting all of the coaches, and other campers and families- Future Stars truly is something special. Our children developed skills, confidence, friendships, and most importantly woke up everyday excited to go to camp. One of our children has fine and gross motor needs and not only did Keith go out of his way to meet us prior to camp and have our son meet his coaches for the following week, he also stayed in regular contact with us and made sure our son wasn't only surviving but thriving. Our daughter was encouraged to go out of her comfort zone to sharpen her skills and felt supported and loved the entire time. My husband and I felt like we were a part of the community, everyone got to know us, and which campers we belonged to! The community was incredible, the grounds and sports complex beautiful, and the price was extremely reasonable. Future Stars Suffolk at Suffolk Community College Brentwood is the best summer camp for your children. I am so happy and delighted that I chose this camp for my daughter. She has had a wonderful experience so far and will be returning again this summer. From all of her years of doing summer camp, this is the one that she told me was the best, because she had a lot of fun. Future Stars Suffolk has everything that would make for a wonderful summer camp experience for children and their parents. Future Stars offers AM/PM Care with a clean and safe campus. Under the direction of a hard working, dedicated and available director, the staff includes working professionals of teachers and coaches who mentor and respect your children. The camp director will work with you to build a camp schedule to fit your child's needs. With over 25+ programs offered and the flexibility to move or change your choice of camp program during the summer with adding additional programs gives you a great sense of flexibility without penalty. Future Stars Suffolk has a large indoor swimming pool that allows the children under the direction of lifeguards to have swimming every day and swim regardless of the weather outside. The facility has a large indoor area with air conditioning that allows the staff to bring the children in on hot oppressive heat days or rainy summer days keeping the programs running, and not skipping a beat allowing your children to have a wonderful day. Future Stars Camp in Brentwood completely blew us away, and we've experienced quite a few camps over the years. From day one, we felt an incredible sense of warmth, professionalism, and genuine care. John Mees went above and beyond to make us feel safe and comfortable every step of the way, from the moment we met him and told him our specific health concerns about one of our children, and throughout our entire experience there. He took the time to truly listen, made sure we felt heard, and was always available when we had questions or concerns. Our daughter has specific challenges that require extra support, and the way John and the team handled it was nothing short of amazing. They found resources for us without us even having to ask. The entire team was so well trained by John Mees, that we felt completely comfortable every day. They were thoughtful, proactive, and incredibly kind and it meant the world to us. The entire staff is friendly, upbeat, and deeply compassionate. They made both of our kids feel so loved and cared for. Every counselor we met was enthusiastic, kind, and clearly passionate about making the summer great for each child. There's a special sense of community here that's hard to put into words. First, I want to say that the kids have been asking when they can go back to future stars summer camp since Christmas! Georgia has been an amazing move for our family, but this being the first summer in 4 years that the kids may not be attending makes me sad. The fact that you guys are expanding, and we are going to miss all the amazing new programs at the new location makes me sad. If only Future Stars were to expand and open another location in Georgia (Wink! Wink!). Although this is my wish, I know it would never be the same without John, Joe, and the entire staff at Future Stars. I cannot say enough about the amazing staff. The kids enjoyed camp and the fact that the staff stays mostly the same every year, is even better. The kids can look forward to attending and seeing familiar faces. They have even been asking for some friends that have been there with them over the years. While we may not be there in person, I am excited to see the amazing pictures. The kids miss you guys so much and if we do not make it this summer, I promise we will see you all next year. We have tried many camps over the years and Future Stars by far has exceeded all of my expectations. John and his team are absolutely fantastic. In addition to all day physical activity and engagement they provided an environment that emotionally and socially supported my son. They individualized his care especially when the swim coach worked with him even though he was not in swim camp. My son was extremely proud when they presented him with a swimming medal at the weekly awards ceremony. The options seemed endless with trips, sports, and Roblox/ Minecraft camp! We were greeted daily at drop off and always felt welcomed. I was at ease everyday dropping him off because I knew they cared about him. John is a wonderful director and always took the time to discuss any questions I had. I really can go on and on. I highly recommend this camp and will definitely send my son next year. My son has attended Future Stars summer camp for the past three summers, and he absolutely loves it. The staff and coaches are fantastic with the kids--fun, engaging, and knowledgeable about their respective activities. Each summer, my son eagerly looks forward to attending camp. A special shout-out to Coach Jackson, who is an outstanding basketball coach! My son has made new friends and felt completely comfortable being himself around the other campers. The camp is very well-organized, and we felt confident in our child's safety throughout the summer. The counselors were incredibly friendly and patient, truly invested in each camper's well-being. By far the best camp ever! The campus is huge and spacious and no need to worry about a rainy day. There is plenty to do. A full sized gym, a huge indoor pool. My sons had the best summer ever and the counselors are exceptional!! We will be back this year and next year and the year after that!!
