The frequency of vacuuming is essential as well, especially if you have dogs or cats. He told me that those sprays that you can buy to clean up spots actually leave the residue and make the dirt stay in the carpet because those sprays don't remove the dirt/urine drops, etc. Those sprays just mask them.
