After I sent a message re: the "no call, no show" I received a response saying that they didn't come because I said that other companies were going to come and give me a price. I never told them not to come, and if they didn't want to bother they could have said so. But they made an appointment for that afternoon and then when they didn't show they acted like it was because other companies were coming out - which they knew when they made the appointment. So they don't show and then lie about it.

True- we only paid for a thousand square feet, (although when measured after the job was done we only got 965 square feet) but the owner had given us the impression we were going to get more like full lawn coverage. I wish he had drawn it out and been more specific as to what we were getting, but I feel like he only wanted our business. When we agreed to hire him he just left it at that and we never saw him again, just the crew. The crew did come very quickly though, and the actual shape of the lawn is nice. I always paid promptly, and I thought Sarah and I were becoming friends through all of our conversations. This was ongoing for over a year. Then they stopped returning my calls and texts about future projects and landscape work. Total silence from them. I am very disappointed, I was happy with their work, and don't know why they completely stopped responding to me. And between all of my projects and plantings, paid them thousands over the year. I worked in customer service roles for decades, and have never had an experience like this either as a supplier or customer. I don't even know why they dropped me as a customer, as they lack the common courtesy to even respond to me. Based on their lack of customer service and professionalism, I do not recommend them. They were recommended to me by a neighbor, I have let him know about my experience, and he is not recommending them either. Started off as a good relationship, don't know why they dropped me, I will never hire their services again and do not recommend them to others.

Our experience landscaping our…read morenew yard started off great with their excellent design and prompt completion of the grading and planting . Then some of the new plants died. When they returned to add a fence and gate and fix some of the drainage not done properly with the initial work, Chris told us he'd replace the dead plants . When we received the invoice for the additional work, they charged us $275 for the new plants . I contacted Chris and he told me that he does not guarantee plants , and accused me of overwatering them . I told him that I did nothing of the sort. After arguing back and forth over the extra charge, we agreed to split the cost of the replacement plants and labor. My review is based on the fact that his company performed all of the soil prep and planting, and if there was a problem with drainage or plant suitability, they should stand behind their work. I can recommend Harrington landscaping for their quality of work, but be aware of their poor customer service history.
