Nice simple mom and pop donut shop in Montgomery. Many options were already sold out by the time we arrived at 10AM but the glazed yeast donuts we got were all fresh and great quality for the price we paid. It's awesome to find a great mom and pop donut shop. These are by far the best donuts I've found in town. The prices are great as well. I've found the customer service to be very friendly. Some people have complained about their sign asking customers to not talk on their cell phones inside. It's a really small store, so its understandable. And this is common courtesy. Just wait the couple of minutes or take your conversation outside, if necessary. read more

I don't look for too much in my typical donut shops. Locally-owned, cheap, and fresh are about my only criteria, and G&S make some tasty - if not ordinary - yeast and cake donuts. Good, decent price for the multiple doughnut packs, BUT, you get what you pay for! The glazed, average-at best. Doughy, chewy, not much taste! A day old KRISPY-KREME glazed, is better than a fresh g&s. The creme filled, just a big old puffy, dough ball, cut in two, with a LITTLE cream, smeared at the front. Not a TRUE creme filled, but a layered caked w/some cream. Again, get a KRISPY-KREME creme filled, and for extra, ask for a double shot! The apple fritter, good and tasty on the edges, but the middle was doughy, chewy, and borderline-not cooked completely. PUBLIX BAKERY(Cornerstone) has MUCH better, tastier, completely cooked apple fritters! Flatten your fritters, and add some apples g&s, you might have a fritter! The biscuits and croissants, filled with bacon or sausage, egg and cheese, VERY misleading! I know why the biscuits are wrapped and covered, NOTHING TO THEM! PITIFUL! The croissants, very misleading! What little filling was in them, was pushed to the front, with a lot of empty space behind-BAD! For all the hype you hear about this place, it is just that hype! You get better Doughnuts at KRISPY-KREME, and better biscuits at HARDEE's! They don't except credit or debit cards, unless your order is large! Had the worst customer service experience here. The cashier(owner's daughter) was on the phone pretty much the whole time i was there. She would not even look at her customers, ignored customers' questions until her conversation was over which lasted for about 20min. When she was finally done, she rolled her eyes and had the worst attitude towards her customers. (Saw multiple customers leave who got tired of waiting) I will never visit this place again. read more

I've been in the food business for over 20 years and G&S is quite possibly the WORST donut I've ever eaten. We tried 6 different kinds and they all tasted like they were day old and made with cheap ingredients. And not to mention the rude service from the gentleman behind the counter. Now I'm going home to chew on a handful of tums to help with my indigestion. Shame on you G&S for calling yourself a donut shop. read more

I love this place hands down the best!! Opens at 5:00 served fresh until sold out... they usually sale out around 10-11 so get there early to eat...my fav is the the sausage kaloche, and the custard long john, or the old fashioned donuts. They bake everything fresh that morning. Prices are very cheap! Come here a lot... they have 2 locations..one behing the old sams in the woodmere plaza, and another across the street from capitol heights JH. Its a mom and pops business.. husband and wife takes turn every day at the difcerent locations! read more

The older guy was yelling at me about my cell phone even after I mad a purchase. He was very rude to me, asked for my money back because he doesn't have to treat customers like that . The best glazed donuts in town. The tacos are misleading more like burritos. They are stuffed with bacon or sausage with egg and cheese. You will also find kolaches the only place in town to find them, The are like a light bread roll with a cheese sausage inside very good. We go here often and they sell out fast so get there early. read more

Show up at 10:45am and they already cleaned up everything and had no food. They are supposed to close at 12pm.
