Based on the previous reviews I have to agree with the rest. Lady answering the phone is argumentative and unfriendly. Had a camper towed which I know sucks. They told me 165 dollars an hour. Which is fair. My issue is the driver called me at 9:32 to tell me he was on his way. 15 minutes after he was at the wrong address(not my fault) so I gave him the right address. He dropped the rv off at the right location at 10:50 and left at 11. Taking 30 minutes to get back would have been 2 hours total. They charged me for 2 1/2 hours $460. When I called to talk about it, the purse been on the phone said she wasn't gonna argue with me and got the owner. The owner told me it is what it is. It's from when they leave to when they get back. I find it funny that their on hold message says "we don't take advantage of anyone." The driver was super nice. Just disappointed in the way the people on the phone handled it. read more

Do Not Use! Avoid at all costs. They charged me 3x the amount the job cost. The dispatch is rude and our driver was terrible. They took a 5 hour job max and charged us 10 hours. I tried to discuss the breakdown they refused. I did swear at them, but I'd had it at the point. I've worked with 50 plus tranpsort companies moved hundreds of vehicles and even had transporters damage vehicles. This company is by far still the worst. Liars and crooks, and wanna be thugs. 0/10 in customer service. i asked the most cost effective way to tow my truck as the cops called them for clean up after my son totaled the truck. They said to take to their place I was not in the state of mind to ask if it was a salvage yard, and so agreed to let them take it to their place instead of to my dads. Now I'm stuck with a second tow bill to have it taken to either a salvage yard or my dads. Their solution to "help" was to give me $100 off if I gave them to the pink slip. Fully knowing they would get $300 from the salvage yard. Shady people do not do business with them in my opinion. read more

I know you don't have to be very smart to be in the towing business but who treats people this way. There tow driver Robin, is a great worker, really knows a thing or 2 about cars! I depend heavily on my vehicle and totally trust his work with one of my prized possessions! Always open and ready to serve-an a smile always comes free!! Got to say, one of the office women has a bit of a 'tude' about her, or maybe she was just in a mad mood! I have had G & S tow my vehicle 2 times now. I am a member of the Military so I go through USAA for my insurance. Both times I have had my car towed, the dispatcher, Melissa, has been extremely rude and short with me. It's a stressful time when your only mode of transportation has failed. What does one do when one gets a call in the middle of the night that one's daughter has hit a curb with her car and blown 2 tires? Well, one panics, that is what one do. Fast forward to today, a beautiful Sunday morning in September, morning after said curb hitting. This one, me, I'm the one, called G & S Towing to help me get the car where it needed to go to be fixed. My 9:00 am call was answered promptly by the front desk, a wonderful woman, who took my information and said that she would have the driver call as soon as possible. He called within the hour and told me he could meet me in 30 minutes, in the parking lot where we had left our poor, broken car. He, Mike, arrived when he said he would. He quickly loaded the car onto the tow platform and got it safely to the tire service place thingy. Mike was professional and helpful. Thank you, G & S! read more

Horrible service. The tow was two hours late and I never received a call updating me they were running late. I had to call G&S twice only to talk with a receptionist named Melissa who was extremely confrontational and aggressive, never even offering an apology or giving me an ETA on the arrival time. This place is the absolute worst. Absolutely zero customer service. If I could give a negative 5 stars I would and that would still be complementary! I called to see what their hours were and I was told open until 1 pm (Saturday) I arrived at 11:00 and doors locked and no sign of life. (I'm trying to help a friend get their car back after it was taken from parking too long in their own driveway!) I called the phone number on the door and was told to hang out and he would be there in 15 minutes. 30 minutes later he finally shows up. No apology for being late and just a totally rude attitude like he was really pissed and inconvenienced to even be talking to us. I wanted so bad to punch this guy's lights out but I settled for telling him he needs to learn how to treat people only to hear his unbelievable response, saying he doesn't feel like answering my question when he has so much to do. He was the slowest moving person I've seen in a long time. I warn you if you go into this place take a video of the way they act it's unbelievable! I don't think it could be this bad even in Chicago! After returning to pick up the car it had new damage on it. I'm sure they have no idea what could have happened to it. Maybe it was caused from their forklift they move the vehicles with. Had my truck impounded so G&S Towing came and towed my truck three blocks to their lot.The next day i payed the $315.00 tow charge they wanted and the owner Darrell came driving my truck on a completly flat tire down the road and into the customer waiting lot ,got out and didnt off .we r to help with offering air ,became confrontational ,and beligerent,and total disrespectfully rude to me.For a company to have a million dollar contract with our county youd think G&S would treat people with a little dignity or respect for just spending over 300 for a three block tow. read more

I was getting ready for work and I came outside to get something from my car and it wasn't there so I went to my lease office to ask about it and they Gave me g & s number to call them about my car when I called the lady answered my call her name was Janet and she was so rude and disrespectful she knows NOTHING about good customer service then I asked her about the price and why it was so high because my car was only there for about 30 minutes and her response was "because it is" like why tf is this tow company still up and running it is the worse and I wouldn't recommend ANYONE going there and receiving that kind of disrespect. I have used G & S several times over the past 10 years for towing of my semi truck. They are always fair in price, curiosity, and timely. I recently had to be towed about 60 miles and was very pleased with their service, the driver was very friendly, & extremely helpful and the price was very fair. My car broke down on I-80 westbound, right before the I-35 northbound exit, on a very busy Sunday afternoon. While the wait was a bit longer than I hoped (there's no such thing as too soon when waiting on a busy interstate), the driver was quick and efficient in loading my car, attentive to taking good care of my car and courteous and friendly on the ride to the repair shop. The woman who answered the phone was rude and condescending. I didn't appreciate her tone at all. I asked her a question and she just sat there for several seconds. There wasn't a "just a moment, I will check on that for you" or anything. She didn't seem like she enjoyed her job. Overall horrible doesn't even scratch the surface of the experience with them. First call 8:30 am we will be there in 1/2 hour to an hour. Second call immediately put on hold no chance to say anything a rude Melissa answers best I can get now is "he had an impound he will be there after that" this is at 10:30. Third call at 12 the same rude Melissa answers. Dames answer out of her "he's on an impound I don't know how long hooking up two cars will take" been waiting over 4 hours and still no g&s. There hold music promises kind compassionate speedy service . I'll let you be the judge if over 4 hours (can't give an exact time do to me still waiting) and having to deal with Melissa is any of those that they promise. I have had two encounters with them. There are very rude and unprofessional. They do not know how to treat there customers. The first time I called I needed some information on pricing and other questions to tow my vehicle not only were they rude but they were very unhelpful they didn't answer my questions at all and they were very basic questions they said they will be out between two hours and four hours to tow my vehicle. I called another company they said they be there in 15 minutes and answer all my questions. The second time they left a car in front of my driveway that was not mine it was a neighbor across the street and about six houses down my mother-in-law called to see what was going on the man on the phone yelled at her and then hung up on her. so I called back to see what the issues was he did the same to me and told me if I wanted it moved to talk to the neighbors even though they were the ones who dropped it off in front of my driveway and just left it even though it was not my car and I didn't know whose it was they are very rude unprofessional I would recommend almost any other towing service i would not recommend them at all. read more
