This was our first time in this store. The rating was not stellar so we were skeptical. Our experience was great from the moment we entered the store. The staff which were mature women could not have been more friendly and helpful. The variety of shoes and name brands was good and the discounts they offered helped with the pricing. If they did not have the size or color that you desired they would check to see if they could order it for you and it would be delivered to your home. We visited the Hendersonville location looking for Hoka shoes. The shoes we checked had suggested retail prices of 195.00 or 190.00. Those are fabricated prices when compared to the Hoka website. For instance, the Bandi 8 in the GB store has a suggested retail of 195.00 and a Sale price of 184.97. The same shoe, model and color retails for 165.00 on the Hoka website. So it would appear that the warehouse chain actually inflates prices. Let's do one more. The Bondi 7, which I currently own, GB suggested retail of 190.00, warehouse price of 179.97. GB Shoes is my go to for any footwear need. The selection is excellent and great prices! You do need one of their preferred member cards to get the good deals but it is free so no harm in signing up. They also give an additional percentage off for medical and EMS personnel. The employees have always been super friendly and the store is so big, there is almost always someone there to ask if you need help finding things. I have seen other reviews that state they are expensive, they do have a lot of good quality expensive shoes but you are getting a discount plus you get to try them on. This makes it much easier than buying online and then having to return if using any other discount shoe sites. Also love to look at the clothing and bags which are also discounted. Great selection! However, prices are inflated for some brands. Their prices on Hokas and Brooks are about $20-$30 more than the brands' website. Huge selection of men's & women's shoes along with some clOthing items. Often it's difficult to find common sizes as they sell out quickly. The staff is friendly and willing to order needed sizes for home or store delivery. They also have huge sales and special discounts for their preferred shopper program. Today, we found Merrell shoes that retail for $169 elsewhere for a total of $68. That was their sale price of $99.97 less 25% preferred shopper discount and $10.97 reward bucks. I hate ordering shoes online, they never fit exactly right and end up many times in my shoe graveyard in my closet because I miss the return window. This place sucks. However, the sales staff was amazing. I was helped by a shorter guy, looked a little too young to work but he was absolutely amazing. The prices are outrageous, went there to buy some men's Keens for my husband. The Keens were almost $50 more expensive than other stores! The amazing sales person helped me find cheaper alternatives to the Keens, and that is about the only good thing about the store. My cashier was a grumpy, older guy, I believe his name tag said Mike. He was very rude to me throughout the entire transaction. Overall, there are much better shoe stores you could spend your time in. read more

I ordered a pair of UGG boots and received 2 boots for a right foot. They refused to exchange for another pair for the same price. I was told that they were out of the size I ordered but when I checked their website I see they have the same boot in the correct size for a higher price than what I paid. I thought this was a legitimate shoe distributor but it turned out to be a scam artist. read more

I have been to this shoe store many times. I have not had a problem getting help. They have many different brands and styles. Also quite a wide range in pricing. They are starting to carry a lot more clothing which is nice. This is the only shoe store I have bought my shoes for years! read more
