Gunda is Amazing!!!! We drove 1,200 miles to have her diagnose our dog, Many other vets couldn't figure out what was wrong with her. Gunda was able to diagnose our dog and help her. Gunda saved the lives of 3 of our daughter's pets, when all the other vets had given up on them. our daughter has since moved to Jackson Hole Wyoming but drives 3 hours over a 10,000 foot pass, sometimes in winter, to take her pets to Gunda or her husband. I just had one of the worst experiences at G-G veterinary. We bring our fur babies to the vet for care and medical assistance. NOT to be talked down, chastised like a clild that has done wrong and then called a liar. It is not the first time this horrific customer relations issue has presented itself, specifically with the female half of the husband-wife team that runs the clinic. She has ZERO tact, naturally combative and is completely incapable of listening. My Penny dog has "sessional" allergies that manifest in ear issues both in the spring and the fall. The rest of the year she is great and the picture of health. In fact, a few years back, we tried veterinary prescription food, and Penny still had the seasonal ear issues. I take issue with the "it's the food" diagnosis. I have two other dogs in the home, one is a blue nose pit, that does have complex food allergies, after an extensive search and an expensive trial and error, we found a grain free, sensitive skin, sensative stomach food that all 3 of our pets thrive on. I was new to the Riverton area when my 7 yr old mare became severely lame. I called G BAR G and even though they had a full plate on the following day they said " bring her in at 10 am tomorrow". The care that the vets and their team gave BabyDoll went above and beyond. She was kept at their facility for 6 days and at one point they were not sure she would pull through. But, even over the weekend, they watched over and cared for her continuously. They kept me updating on her progress and were very thorough on how she was pprogressing. My girl made it home and is still on the mend, but with time and knowing G BAR G is there I feel we will be back on the trails in no time. read more

The dog I adopted from PAWS of Teton Valley Idaho came with papers showing she was spayed by G Bar G Vet Services last June. Well now she's in heat and the vet who saw her today could find no evidence that she was ever spayed. read more

Overall experience was appalling. Gunda demonstrated passive-aggressive behavior and a dismissive attitude. She provided curt replies to questions, lacked compassion and exhibited extremely poor bedside manner. Despite the visit being for a health concern, she displayed a very apathetic response to my pet. She did not perform even the most basic examination of my pet. Vitals were not obtained and a physical assessment was not done. The visit quickly and inappropriately became focused on finance when the subject of cost arose. She spent more time telling me how much their equipment, medications, bills and payroll was than she spent providing medical care. Needless to say, my questions and concerns were disregarded. This visit fell short of the standard of care expected from a Veterinarian. It does not come as a surprise that Gunda Gamble has a history of disciplinary action against her veterinary license. The Wyoming State Veterinary Licensing Board will be receiving a formal complaint from me. read more

I brought my dog for a neutering and clearing his airway. After completion of the surgery and in recovery I was informed "his heart stopped". Glen informed me of all the special treatment short nose breed dogs get at his facility. And that he was confident in these procedures as he does all the pug rescue animals all the time. He was kind and compassionate; however Gunda was horrible and cold hearted. She initially refused to allow me to talk to Glen as he was in another procedure and too busy to talk to me. She stormed off because I would not look at her when she was talking to me (imagine that- I had just lost my fur baby). After all of this I was charged full price for the work completed and informed that this was necessary because although he did not live, services were still rendered. I will never take an animal to this facility again and hope this review can save other people the treatment I received when in a time of loss. I read all reviews and see they have done good for some, but Gunda is a horrible monster when things go wrong. RIP Scooby read more

Could the rating be less than a zero? Only if Yelp gave the option! Anyone in the position to essentially hold your emotions, your family and your finances hostage to accomplish their whim, should be called out! Having a pet is difficult at times and difficult decisions are made at times. When taking a very sick dog to G bar G looking for help, giving a vet a $ amount of what your family can afford to treat, is reasonable. It should also be respected. Just as I would expect a physician to honor my request not to treat my terminal illness, I would expect a vet to honor my decision to not treat my animal's Terminal illness. Not the case at G bar G. Having the arrogance to tell the owner of a much loved pet, what a horrible person they are for choosing not to treat, is simply inexcusable. Allowing an animal to suffer while in their care, because the owner was unable or unwilling to spend an unknown amount of money allowing "exploratory" surgery, tests and procedures.....that is simply deplorable. So when choosing your vet, just know, this practice will not only hold your wallet hostage, they will exploit your emotions. If they can't accomplish that? Well, they will do nothing. If you won't do exploratory treatments, they will refuse to treat at all. Good job G bar G! Arrogance at its finest. read more

Would not recommend this place to anyone. They don't listen to the people. They are rude. They make untrue accusations. We have just recently moved back to Riverton. Our dog has had a history of pancreatitis exasperated by stress, (this was July 5th) and we know what it looks like. We called to see if they could test her, they said yes. We took her in and first off, we were told this illness cannot be caused by stress and that she was definitely fed some table scraps. (We DO NOT feed table scraps) She told us that they would test her and start treatment, but they don't stay overnight, we would have to come get her at night and bring her back in the morning. We got a call and were told that the dog was very positive for pancreatitis, and it looked like a chicken bone in her stomach on an x-ray. (We asked several times to see said x-ray, they never would show them to us). We hadn't heard anything for the rest of the afternoon so 30 min before closing time we went down to get her. We were then told they had just hooked her up to another bag of fluids and that she should stay overnight and that the vet was too busy to talk at that moment. So, we went outside so they could finish up the other customers first. A little while later the vet came out and said "I don't have any fight left in me" we said we weren't wanting to fight we just thought that the dog couldn't stay the night (per our original convo that morning) we were good with her staying we just didn't think that it was a possibility. All this time we were in contact with the vet that has taken care of her for the last 8 years, he was gasping when we would tell him stuff that they were doing. They called us the next morning and said they had just hooked her up to fluids again, but she has improved a ton, the vet said she offered the dog a bite of food and she scarfed it right down. She wanted to keep her all that day and the next day to keep giving her fluids. We contacted our original vet and he said they are just trying to get more money out of you. If she is drinking and eating, she would be better off at home where she is comfortable. We called and wanted to get the price of the bill and were told to apply for Care Credit and they were keeping the dog another day. We called back to find out when the bag of fluids was going to be gone, they said they would call us when they were gone. They called us and let us know, so we ran right down to get her out of that hell hole. None of them listen to what the people are saying, they accuse you of endangering your own pets. If anybody knows me, these dogs have a better life than some people. read more

The Gambles are outstanding vets. Between the two of them, our community receives focused diagnosing and skilled surgery. When I am with them I feel like I am the center of their universe, and I see them treating everyone like that. That means the wait may be a bit long sometimes, but when you're with them there is no rush. Gunda's ability to diagnose especially seems so focused and careful--not the let's-try-everything approach. Glen is particularly skilled in surgery, and I have learned he is one of the outstanding surgeons in the Rocky Mountain area. These two also quietly provide very generous support for rescue animals and the community shelters. They obviously are not focused on money, and provide services for everyone in the community, rich or poor. Over the 30 years I've lived here I've probably dealt with every vet in the area, and love and respect them all. But I completely trust my animals with the Gamble's far and above anyone else. I've been consistently with them for over 17 years through a variety of large and small animal problems, and feel very qualified to say they are the best. read more
