Sometimes you have to go to a mall, and sometimes you have to go to the mall in a small town in Ontario. This mall is a time warp. A shoe store called Chesler's, a department store named Hart, a toddlers-and-tiaras-style dance studio and a gosh darn Bootlegger. What the hell. It's weird, but also weirdly cute with their interior sidewalk sales and creepy kids rides. If you need to hit the Winners or the Metro for something while in town, you'll have to come here. I am in Cobourg once a month and I always make a point of stopping in at this outdoors store. The…read morestaff are always friendly and there is a fair selection in this tiny store (as well as a fairly large sale rack for clothing and shoes). Always lots of seasonal clothing, camping gear (knapsacks, stoves, etc) and some gifty items. Presently during the winter months they also carry skiis and snowshoes and during the summer they rent bikes and canoes/kayaks. Definitely the best outdoors store in the area.
