I was excited to see a new G.O.A.T. open up in Bountiful right next to the new Beans and Brews. I had been to the Sandy location and Layton, but Bountiful is much more convenient for me. I had tried a couple of times to make appointments, but they were booked on such short notice. I was finally able to get in this afternoon to give it a try. The experience was right on par with the brand catering to all needs a guy could have (both realized and unrealized). Today I only had time for the basic "GM" service that includes a quick cut and wash. Kaylee did excellent work. Her professionalism and attention to detail was very much appreciated. I was in and out in about 30 mins. My cut was $25 (not including a generous tip) which seems pricey compared to a typical Great Clips, Sports Clips, or Super Cuts chop shops, but it really is reasonable considering the level of skill and service that is received. I had not really given much thought to the monthly membership program, but now that there is a Bountiful location, it is starting to make more sense. $35 per month for unlimited cuts is starting to sound reasonable. I love the idea of having a membership for haircuts but it includes so much more than that. The beard trim and straight edge razor is amazing. This bountiful location is my favorite one. The atmosphere is amazing and they have something good going on at this site. The people are what makes me want to keep coming back. KAT is who I go to because she is very attentive to what I want and seems to really enjoy her job. If KAT wasn't there though I wouldn't hesitate for a second to have someone else there do it as they are all amazing. I'll keep my business with GOAT for as long as this site exists which I hope is for a very long time. read more

This was my first time going to get a haircut at GOAT Haircuts, I've always gone to SportClips but thought I would try something different because I've heard really good things about GOAT. The reservation process was simple and did not take long. I showed up 5 minutes prior to my appointment time, they checked me in, and then I had to wait for 15 minutes even though there was no one else in there. Finally, Flo came to get me, the introduction did not start out great, and she didn't seem very welcoming, almost like it was a nuisance that I was there. She asked my how I wanted my hair cut and I explained that I wanted a 2 on the sides tapered up with a 1 around the edges, and that we would be bringing the top down to about 1.5 - 2 inches in length, and I wanted a rounded next line as well, and that we would need to thin out my hair because it's very thick. The first red flag was that very matter of fact she told me we probably didn't need to thin my hair and the cut would solve the problem (it's my hair not yours). Next, she never faced me towards the mirror, she just started cutting away and before I knew it she was telling me to get up so she could wash my hair, she never once turned me around to show me the cut or ask if anything needed to be fixed, and had she it would have saved me a lot of trouble. But she didn't even bother to converse with me throughout the cut, instead she took a phone call during it. She never tapered up with a 1 around the edges, she cut my side burns uneven, and in cutting them left a huge gap in between my beard and side burns, and she did a square neck instead of the rounded that I wanted. But, I didn't know any of this because she didn't show me the mirror ever (yes, I realize, I should have asked to see first, but you feel like you can trust them right?) Next, we go to wash my hair, and I had paid for the executive cut, so this should have come with the chair massage, the shampoo and conditioner, double steam towel, and scalp massage, well, all I got was a shampoo and chair massage - no double steam towel, no scalp massage, and no conditioner even though I had already paid for all of this. I realized this and went back in and mentioned it and Flo seemed very annoyed that I was asking to either be reimbursed or to receive the service items, so she rushed me to a chair and gave me the worst scalp massage, and one steam towel - not even double after I've come in to fix everything. Overall, I was not impressed with Flo, I watched another stylist in there, and she was very attentive to detail talking with her client asking questions the entire time. read more

If could give 0 stars I would, I called in to set up an appointment at 1:30p. Showed up and there was no one to talk to so I waited for like 10 mins until a lady asked me with a very rude tone what I was doing there. I said that I had an appointment at 1:30p but she then went on to say that it was cancelled this morning, I told her that I never cancelled and she got upset because I was contradicting her. Another girl took over the conversation and noticed that whoever wrote down my number messed up one of the numbers over the phone number and that the person they texted cancelled the appointment. She then went on to say that there was nothing they could do, I asked if there was a manager available and turns out that the first rude lady I talked to was the manager. I left without a haircut with my time wasted because they emphasized that there was nothing they could do even though it was their fault. read more

Only reason this is getting one star is because the place is nice. We tried calling to get an appointment but it kept saying "all circuits are busy" and we tried for 15 min. So we went in - it says "walk-ins welcome". My husband just needed a quick clean up and we sat there and sat there and sat there. No one acknowledged that we even came in. We heard people talking, but no one even saw us. So we waited. The chatty customer finally paid and left. Thinking we would get a "hi, sorry to keep you waiting", we didn't. In fact we got nothing. A high school girl who, I guess works there, got acknowledged but us, nope. The girl with the blue hair was the one to talk to her and then she walked right past us, said nothing and disappeared. Then another gal with shorter brown hair came to set up a station, looked at us and walked away. At that point my husband (who is normally patient) said "guess we are invisible" and we left. We waited for over 30 min. The HS aged girl didn't even acknowledge that we left. We were going to get a membership too if it was worth it, but sadly will NOT be back. Very very disappointed with the way we were treated, or not treated....don't know what to say here. Guess walk-ins aren't welcome! read more
