Blake's is my go-to. I've been having Zack cut my hair every month or so for more than a year and he remembers how I like it, typically has a few appointments available if you book 24 hours in advance and consistently does a great job. Highly recommend. read more

went there 12:30 in Saturday after noon but was told no time for a walk in, even though he had one person in the shop. didn't have time for a trim that would of taken ten minutes at the most. door facing the parking lot with handicap parking with sign say use front door. won't be going back. read more

A very inviting and relaxed atmosphere. Staff is always friendly and professional. I wasn't sure about continuing to have a full beard after winter until my Barber Zack showed me how to make my beard work with the shape of my head. Blake does a decent cut but has the personality of a guy who thinks he knows everything about everything. Makes for a pretty uncomfortable experience. The 2nd Barber (Kyle I believe) in the shop while a nice guy screwed up my buddy's hair. He had to take it elsewhere for a fix. Price went up and I didn't find out till it was time to pay. Went from $20 to $25 no thanks for the price for this experience. To bad I really wanted to like this place, tried it 6 or 7 times. And lastly turn some tunes on man! I don't know what you were taught in barber school but people want music in the background. But I'm pretty sure this advice he thinks he already knows better. read more

Sadly, I only went here once while I lived in Bountiful. Blake does a great job listening to you and making sure you leave his barbershop looking good. I went on a Saturday to wait and got in at the right time with few clients waiting and was in and out in 30 minutes. Clean shop and good work. read more

Unfortunately the haircut I got from Blake this week is awful! He took off a lot of length, as I asked, but did not take the time to smooth it out or give me any sort of style. I am left with an uneven, choppy cut. He cut my hair in *literally* five minutes... And it shows. Definitely would not recommend. read more

Love coming here. For the longest time I was just a "go to Great Clips" kind of guy. In-out-done, no frills. But I was running into the usual problems: bad cuts, inconsistent, and a general factory setting that was offputting. I searched around and found Blake's, and I have been coming back every month since then for my standard trim. They always remember how I like my cut, but they are not afraid to make suggestions that I have come to trust. They take the time to truly get to know your hair and give you a quality cut as a result. Know that you will probably have to wait 15-30 minutes to get a cut, as they are first come, first served. But I will also add that there is a reason why people are willing to wait. read more

Joel cut my hair today. I'm convinced he's the best barber this side of the Mississippi! And that's ironic because he is from Mississippi! This guy knows how to cut any kind of hair. He's personal, he'll makes you feel better looking than you probably are haha (he should be in sales if you ask me). I recommend these guys 10 times out of 10. Blake is really cool too. I chose to get a haircut at Blake's given the great reviews he had on Yelp. I hate to say that my experience was not as great as those other reviewers. Blake is a great guy and runs a clean shop. He is friendly and makes conversation. What I did not like about the experience was my haircut. I will add that Blake told me he has been cutting hair for less than three years, I'm not sure if that's the reason why I got a lackluster cut or if he was just having a bad day. I thought I was very clear on what I wanted so I'm not sure how I ended up with different length sideburns and a much fuller side of my head than the other. I asked him to fix it... and he tried... very politely. The results were not much better. Instead of fading my hair I ended up with a clear line in the differences of hair length on the side of my ear. He was apologetic and tried correcting it, but by this point I left because it was apparent that it was not getting fixed. I hate to say my experience did not match that of other Yelpers. This review has nothing to do with how Blake cuts hair. He does a great job at it. It's on his business hours. Twice my husband drove down from Clearfield to get his hair cut during normal business hours to find that Blake's shop closed five to ten minutes before he arrived. If my husband had checked Facebook, he would have known, however, I don't typically check Facebook for a change in someone's business hours, and he doesn't either. No one should have to. Instead of 9-5, his hours changed from 9-12. On the third attempt I messaged him to see if he was open, because his business hours were from 9-5. But he wasn't opening until noon, which is when my husband worked. So, yet again, my husband wasn't able to get his hair done. I finally had to send him elsewhere. Basic business 101 is having customer friendly hours. If you have to change hours enough that we missed you on three different attempts, there needs to be a change of hours on your business pages. Or something that tells people to check Facebook for hours. Mind you, we are loyal customers. We love to support small businesses and locals (of which we were until we moved north), and we continued to support Blake. We are big on customer service, and after three failed attempts, reaching out after the second to see if there was any way we could schedule an appointment or work something else out, we figured we'd given a fair chance. read more

I've been taking my son to Blake's for the last year. I love the wholesome atmosphere and how they always make him feel welcome and "one of the guys." Also, the haircuts are way better quality than the "kids cut" we were used to at local chains. My son always leaves feeling good and looking sharp. Happy mom. read more

Have never had an issue with Blake or the guy next to him but the skinny guy in the end doesn't listen and chopped my sons hair off after clear instructions and multiple visits. Went in for a trim and got butchered. read more

The are always friendly with good conversation, my son and I will not go anywhere else since we started coming here. Very nice environment. Only one other customer was in when we came in, it was very peaceful. It's a really clean shop. My partner had his hair cut by the owner, Blake. He's very nice and made sure to ask lots of questions before beginning the cut to make sure it was exactly what my partner wanted. They carried on a nice conversation throughout the entire cut. Blake is precise and is so consistent! I am super picky about my hair...embarrassingly so. I work in finance and need a sharp higher-end looking cut. Needs to be tight, without looking like a teenager. Many years ago, I got so bugged by poor fades and blends on the side of my head that I started cutting my own hair...for about 10 years. I periodically tried someone out because I hate the at-home clean up. Blake was the only one who was able to get me to break the trend and consistently come back. I've had four or five cuts now. He has nailed it every time. There is the matter of cost, but from what I understand, he is at, or below, average for his type of practice. Probably twice the cost of your cheap great clips and dollar cuts. However at least three to four times as good. Not the fit for everyone if the money is an issue or if you aren't as picky and buzz your head; however, it has been excellent for me. read more

Blake's is a great local barbershop. They are reasonably priced and do a great job on your cut. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is because they don't have any of the extra benefits like hot towels, hot shave, or massage that many other barbershops have on offer. read more

Blake took care of me while in Utah for business. I typically get my hair cut in CO but was desperate for a good hair cut during this trip. He was very professional and you can tell he knew what he was doing, as he is professionally trained as a barber. I don't just let anyone cut my hair so this was reassuring. I got the scalp treatment as well which was very relaxing and refreshing. I definitely recommend it. The haircut was great too! Blake even provided me tips to give my barber back home about how to cut my hair a little better! If I'm ever in the area I will definitely stop in for another haircut! read more

Great Location, easy to get too and parking is plentiful. I've gotten my hair cut by blake quite a few times and he makes the whole process easy. He's a classically trained barber so if you need a flat top or taper he's the man to see. He also has an amazing collection of products so you know he'll get you exactly what you need. Make sure to get a straight razor shave, it's the best. This place is a living example of the old ways being the best ways. read more

I took my 5 year old son to get a haircut with Blake. This was our first time here. My son does not like to get his hair cut, and he was nervous. Blake explained what he was going to do and he asked him questions during the cut which put my son at ease. Afterwards my son said, "I always want to go here to get my hair cut with Blake." It's been a couple of weeks and he still asks me to comb his hair the same way Blake combed it. We will visit Blake's again! read more

I normally am a customer at Redmond's barbershop in SLC but they happened to be completely booked today so I decided to give Blake's barbershop a try--thinking he would be able to provide a similar result as what I get at Redmond's. For reference, I showed him a picture of what I wanted done to my hair and beard. This is the same thing I do at Redmond's. His response was "I CAN do this, but I don't think we should." He proceeded to point out the baldness on top of my head and how a fade would make that more noticeable. I told him I didn't expect it to look exactly like the picture but I still wanted a fade. He proceeded to cut my hair and NOT give me a fade or the type of beard lineup I asked for. Simultaneously, customers are piling up in the lobby and Blake is the only barber on shift. I wasn't going to complain and keep the customers waiting even longer just so I could pitch a fit. I felt he rushed me through the haircut. He spent less than half the time that Redmond's does and was more expensive. Not to mention he refused to cut my hair how I asked. I think a barber ought to honor your requests even if they don't agree it's the best idea. I don't plan on returning. Two stars instead of one because he did a good job in a short amount of time even though he didn't honor my wishes. read more

went in for a simple trim on the sides and he first spent time mocking my hair style. I didn't mind that everyone has an opinion but I had to go back TWICE because he didn't shave the sides evenly and there were scragglies all over the back. Then the hard shave line he did was not proportional at all. In fact I should've gone back again because the third time there was still a lot of scragglies left around. For someone who made fun of my haircut he really seemed to have trouble doing the simplest cut ever...Truly all he had to do was shave the sides down but I guess being a barber isn't for anyone. I will say, I'm only writing this because of what he said about my hair combined with the fact that he couldn't even trim my sides without me coming back twice read more
