At first it looked like coffee grounds and now it's all black. Our building was insisting we pay to get it fixed because it's a problem in our apartment. I explained the issue to Jerry at CID and that we never put coffee grounds or anything like that down the drain, who was able to tell me over the phone that he was completely certain the issue was not coming from our apartment since we have fully stopped using the sink and dishwasher since this started and it continues to fill with more liquid. There's more I could explain but that's the basics. Anyway Jerry was so nice, offered to get someone there by 8pm (I had called at 4pm so that was amazing) and it would be a flat fee to snake the drain and was very up front about what it would be which was very transparent. He suggested I talk to building management as this was not an issue of something we did wrong that normally it's something they would pay for. I did and they are sending someone out to inspect all the apartments in our line tomorrow. I don't think they will let us use CID if they are going to pay for it (which we sincerely hope they will) but despite that Jerry was incredibly nice and even gave me specific tips to tell the building management to make sure their plumber did the best job possible. I asked a few questions, everything was straight forward and easy to understand. On the day of the project, we talked over in detail my options for a fireplace outlet. Without a doubt I had full confidence that they would be able to finish the project, not only successfully, but presentable and neatly. A few approvals and the project began. Juan and Tony treated my home as their own. They put drop clothes and plastic sheeting over everything to protect furniture, floor, etc. Used a vac and everything to keep a clean working area. Tony is very knowledgeable of the install! They tackled the attic to run wires, got the electrical box on the fireplace, and the rest was history! They also included mounting my full motion tv mount. They came by, inspected the existing installation, then gave me a quote to replace the lighting. The quote was very fair, and so I gave them the ok to proceed. During the replacement, they showed me parts of the existing wiring, that was not done properly for an outdoor installation. However, they replaced the improper wiring connections at no extra charge.
