I'm normally a Gabe's fan, this store was a let down, I did find a few things but the selection was spartan at best and the prices on some of the items really weren't that great if you compare them to TJMaxx. It wasn't crowded while I was in there but I doubt I'd come to this store in Beckley again, it just really wasn't that great selection and price wise. read more

I used to be the biggest Gabe's fan when I was younger. I felt like every time I came to Gabe's, I'd leave with a bag(s) full of great finds. I've moved away from the area so when I saw there was a Gabe's here in Beckley, I made sure to stop. And was surely let down. What happened? Gabe's was always a discount store when it all is said and done, but this location looks really run down. The feel was just dim and dingy and things felt super messy. It felt more like a Dollar Store (vibe wise) than anything else. I didn't think the items were that "cheap" in terms of pricing nor did I think the brands were anything that warranted that pricing either. It all was just sort of, "meh". I browsed around for a few minutes and left sadly with nothing but being let down. Maybe it was just this location? Maybe it's Gabe's but I left super bummed about my experience here. read more

I come to Beckley a couple times a year and Gabes is always a must stop. I do a ton of shopping and find things to bring home to folks. Even the employees remember me from year to year and have been so kind. I was going to buy my son some clothes but he wasn't in town with me and worried about them fitting him and was not going to be back for 6 weeks. The manager told me to go ahead and if things did not fit to bring them back but ask for her. Out of over $300 in clothes for him, one pair of shorts came back - the manager took a pretty good gamble!! read more

The lady who controls the fitting rooms with no name tag is absolutely rude and looks you up and down like a criminal. She doesn't greet you with a smile she doesn't greet you at all. Me and my family have been here twice and both times she's short with us and huffs and puffs about letting us in the fitting rooms. The rest of the staff was kind and helpful but she makes us not want to return. read more

new and improved Gabes Beckley now. Still super low prices. When I am at Gabes, I feel like I am in a huge treasure trove looking for great finds at prices that are jaw dropping. I sound like I am advertising but I am not. In fact don't go there so i have more room to shop ( i hate crowds) and so they can lower the prices even more by end of the season coz you were not there to buy their stuff :).. I think I know who Jaytee is referring too, she doesn't seem to be a regular. short-white-grayhaired-grumpy lady? yup she seems unhappy all the time but, she's all right, don't let her attitude rub off to you, the rest of the staff yes they are very helpful and pleasant. read more

They have some nice stuff...only problem before was so old and outdated and dirty...now they have begun a big remodel and they are looking so much better..great deals and decent stuff... read more
