It's full of friendly people who are enthusiastic about the skies above us, and are eager to share their knowledge with the public. On Friday nights during the summer when they do stargazing! (So long as the weather is nice, you can join their email list to get updates if conditions are iffy.) The roof rolls off of the observatory building, and there's a warming room in case it gets chilly! Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting the area.

They've got some great designs.... but the quality of the shirts they sell is poor. I've bought…read moremany shirts there- and ALL of them have popped seams- cheap fabric- cheap thread.... it's really annoying to spend $15-20 on a T-shirt only to have the seams pull apart after gentle use. The collar- sides- etc .....The sleeves stretch out too easily as well.
