Under no circumstances should you come here unless it is to put down a rabid animal... dirty, smelly, animals barking all day long to be heard all the way into the parking lot. Sloppy work from management, front desk staff could not care less. read more

We have been using them for the past 6 mos or so now and they have been great! No issues at all. We have used them for vaccinations and grooming and have been very satisfied and are planning to use their boarding services during the holiday season. We would recommend them to anyone. read more

Let me just say that my review was removed by Dr Gurley on Google. I said nothing nasty and all was true.Not very ethical if you ask me.So I will repost here. First, let me say that I am a nurse. Issues: *Took 11yr old pet/dog in for coughing (husband took). No heartworms. No treatment. Continued to worsen. *I take her in, chest xray. CHF. Started on medication. Doesn't work. *Go back several times, finally I suggested Vetmedin, I had been doing some research. Worked great. *Been in this vet office 6-8 times. The majority of the time the exam rooms are not cleaned between clients/patients. The hair on the exam table and the human chairs was so bad that I could not even sit down and would not put my pet on the table till they reluctantly cleaned it. *Needs medication refills, asked on several occasions/ visits for scripts so I could mail order at half the cost. After being persistent today, was told that as long as they carried the medicine (regardless of cost to me), they would not provide paper prescriptions. And this also included prescription dog food, since I had previously asked for that also. So I am done with this vet. I will return to Dr Waters, even though it takes me longer to get there. I know it's hard to see the condition of the exam room, not just once either. But wanted to post. read more

They give a lot of misinformation and seem unfamiliar with insulinoma and adrenal disease treatment. The vet argued with me for several minutes about a ferret that was suffering from hind leg weakness. He had already been diagnosed with an insulinoma tumor by my previous vet. Dr. Gurley insisted he had a spinal injury and needed laser spinal therapy. I disagreed and Dr. Gurley finally decided to consult a ferret expert in Birmingham. He confirmed the original diagnosis and told her her treatment plan would have made the tumor grow faster. She was also reluctant to give Prednisone tablets vs liquid as the liquid is known to cause gastrointestinal stress in ferrets. I had to be extremely firm to have the prescription changed to tablets. When I needed a Ferretonin implant, they wanted to charge $400 for a $50 drug. Again I had to be firm and argue with one of the techs to find out why it was to cost so much. The tech informed me they anesthetize the ferret first before implantation. I have spoken to two other vets and the operator of a ferret rescue that all concur putting a ferret under for ANY reason is incredibly dangerous and doing it for a procedure that causes almost no pain when awake is extremely bad practice. I have seen my ferrets get the implant many times and there is never any indication that it causes them more than a brief and minor amount of pain. I'm sure this vet is extremely knowledgeable about cats and dogs, but please do not take your ferrets here. Consult with Kindness Matters Ferret Rescue or Bartow Animal Clinic in Georgia if you have medical questions about ferrets. These people treat 100's of ferrets a year and know the best treatment plans for the best price. read more
