We've been getting cheeses here on our annual ski trips for many years and it's always a treat to stop in, browse the tastefully and expertly curated stock and of course take away some delicious treats. J'étais avéc u. ami anglophone et nous discutions en anglais en regardant une casserole qui était différent. Le propriétaire de l'immeuble est passé derrière nous en chuchotant que l'article en question s'appelait une tangine et a continué son chemin à rouspétant " imbécile " que j'ai clairement entendu. J'ai lui ai tout de suite demandé ce qu'il avait dit. Il a nié le tout et a commencé à m'expliquer qu'il est le propriétaire et qu'il avait un demi millions en inventaire et qu'il n'aurait jamais dit ceci. Je l'ai clairement entendu. Je crois qu'il ne pensait pas que j'étais francophone. en tous cas ma famille et moi avons tous déposé nos articles et nous sommes sortis....très insultés. En passant, assez facile d'avoir un inventaire d'un demi-million quand tu vends une bouteille de sirop d'érable de 375ml à 340$. plus jamais nous remettrons les pieds dans ce magasin.

This store share the space with the Atmosphere banner; it's an open space and the materials is mixed up together. So as a customer you don't know from what banner your article is from. Since there's only one cash it's not a big deal. Unless there's a sale, like today. The sale could be applied on Intersport items only (they sell many brand). Since nothing is labeled as Intersport or Atmosphere (like the Salomon brand is sold by Atmosphere but you need to ask to know) it's really really confusing for a costumer to figure out on what you can apply the discount. Anyhow, with the help of a very patient sale lady and the manager (and my mom who knows what to ask when it comes to cross country ski and who's a fierce negotiator) I did purchase a full equipment. It was complicated but I got a real good deal (thanks mom!). I just find the 2 banners being under the same roof and cash quite confusing...

Sautrelles et Cocinelles is a very small Quebec franchise with only a few other locations, seems like a nice bright addition to this corner that boasts an ice cream shop and lovely pizza terrasse. I haven't really indulged in any shopping for the kiddo in months since we were stocked with hand-me-downs when Covid hit. I was super excited just to peek in at the cuteness and I was not disappointed. Health and safety stuff was handled correctly and since I was basically alone in the boutique with the friendly clerk it wasn't at all stressful. There's a clear emphasis on locally made and environmentally friendly toys and clothes here which I love, and though the shop is small it's quite packed with goodness. Really nice quality hats and mittens and coats for children which is so appropriate for both locals and visitors to this area. I found some lovely wooden toy animals that weren't crazy expensive so I was able to come away with a tiny treasure for the kiddo and I look forward to heading back in next time I'm in town.

Every time I go there I am always amazed by the quality of what they are offering. To me, all the pieces there are interesting. Not necessarily my style, but have great fabric or interesting pattern.
