This was way too up tight for my taste. They had extensive drink menu and I selected a very good white wine. What was nice is that they gave me a complimentary welcome mini shot and a small tray filled with some potato chips, olives and nuts. The bartender took my coat from me, which was another nice touch. As I figured out that this place sucked for me and left, the card I gave them didn't work on their system. When I walked back while waiting for the cab, my bartender was running around panicked, because my card was denied (which was really strange because it worked in other places). I handed him another one, but this whole thing just left a bad impression on me. This place may be just wonderful for you, especially if you think you are high on a social ladder, but for me it was just too stuffy, with older or boring crowd on that particular night.

My bf and I actually tried of the daiquiri's on the menu. If I had the means, I would definitely fly there only to have their cocktails and enjoy the surroundings. Did I mention I went here FOUR times during my two-week stay? Yeah, I hopped on the subway, walked my cute little butt several blocks, and then sat with my lover at the bar and savored each and every sip of my cocktail.

A classic decors with full of traditional-bar-scene. It was also nice to have an English menu -- but not a worry, the staffs speak perfect English, especially when communication about cocktails . But the lighting is unique too, and the cocktails are really original, with root and leaf flavors, and high end spirits and absinthes also available neat, and a very, very good value for the price, which is rare among bars serving exotic cocktails. The owner's fashion sense is 30 years out of date, but unlike so many other bars in Berlin, his drink menu isn't - and he's as much of a mad scientist with his flavors and ingredients as the place would suggest. VERY deep menu, and there's so much to try here that it's well worth repeated visits.
