Love this place. Hands down the best cocktail "art" menu I have ever seen. Great vibes , cool people, great attentive staff and talented live performers. Had a mix up double order as I was stopping many to discuss the menu options, two of the same drink arrived, no problem from the staff clearing it up.....Come check it out if in town

Definitely order a tea when you visit the Curtain Club. I did not partake in the entire 'Tea Experience' but my pot of lavender tea from the Provence region definitely hit the spot. One pot was enough to share. The metal tea pots do a fabulous job of keeping the tea warm, and the extra touch of the presentation (sugar sticks and all) made the time spent reading memorable. Another tip: Look though the entire menu. It is well researched and presented and makes a good read in its own historical way!

The Curtain Club is an amazing experience that must not be missed. The Ritz Carlton on Potsdamer Platz is a fancy hotel in one of Berlin's swankiest areas, but you don't need to stay there for a memorable experience. The "club" is a bar/lounge in the lobby of the hotel, but is unlike any other that I've seen. First, the cocktail list is literally a book. It has 80 pages of drinks and cocktails. Section titles include "the baazar of the alchemists" "serious drinks" and more, and involve flavor combinations that clearly took a great deal of experimentation to create. Tip: Get there before 6pm, so you can witness the official opening at that time. The music stops, bells toll and the doorman in full Victorian costume opens the club by tying back the curtains and officially opening the place for the evening with great flourish, punctuated by he pounding of his staff. Trust me, it is hard to describe but worth seeing. As can be expected, prices are expensive, the furniture. Glasses and decor are impeccable and everything is of the highest quality. It's a "must-see" and now is one of my favorite experiences in Berlin.

Place is small with a small outdoor area. Prices are like the States but what you get are hand crafted cocktails that are oh so good. It was the perfect, quiet little cozy corner for us to happen upon and we enjoyed the beverages that were served up to us immensely. We finally found the cocktail bar we'd been searching for in Berlin!

Since smoking is allowed in Berlin bars we opted to sit at the little spot right outside the door. It was a prime spot to view the entire bar as well as listen to the soft jazz notes in the background. I definitely agree with other reviews. The music selection is excellent! It's a perfect accompaniment to the well crafted cocktails. As for the cocktails I ordered a Cover Club cocktail since it's one of my favorite gin cocktails and they specialize in gin. My BF ordered a more tropical drink with lychee. Both cocktails were delicious. I also loved the quiet and intimate atmosphere. It's perfect for a sophisticated date night. Berlin has some very promising cocktail bars so I'm making my way thru them but Windhorst is definitely my kind of spot.
