I was welcomed and then a staff member walked me to the sink so I could wash my hands. Hand washing before sitting at a station is part of their COVID protocol. This nail salon is following COVID safety guidelines. Tom was the tech who did my nails. I got the pink and white French manicure. Tom is an amazing nail tech! He worked very hard to make sure my nails looked good. Very happy that I chose to get the pink and white French manicure. All the other staff members were working hard too as there were other customers there getting different types of manicure services.

However, after spending $120 on gel nails and a pedicure I would expect it to last longer than 24 hours. My toe nail polish chipped that evening and the hands chipped the following day. Unfortunately I left the next day for a flight and could not return to the salon to have it fixed. 3 days later the entire gel on my thumb came off. Gel nail polish should last 2 weeks minimum a few days later I had all the gel removed.

I loved that! The owner happily made me comfortable being in her shop. The nail tech: I was uncomfortable with the nail tech as she seemed uninterested in making sure to correctly follow proper procedures for beautiful nails. She was doing something that I didn't ask her to do so I pulled my hand back and she jumped! Can you believe it? Then she looked up scared as if waiting to see if I'd do something else. Will never go to her again. I went to another tech and she made me feel amazing, my nails have been looking beautiful since! The price: the first time I went was so expensive, they even charged extra for cleaning the cuticles which I thought came with a manicure. ‍ The second time was more reasonable, just make sure to ask questions so you don't get overcharged.

I tell him okay a regular white is fine then. Right off the bat, it's unsanitary. As he's doing my nails, he keeps snapping at me to "relax." I have not said a word at this point. At first, I laughed it off, but he kept telling me to relax over and over which made me nervous and confused. As he's filing and painting them, I tell him calmly that they are too square and sparkly. He yells at me "ALMOND IS NO GOOD - SQUARE IS BETTER" and says "WAIT UNTIL I'M FINISHED!" How is he going to tell me what I want for my own nails? At the end when he's done filing the color, he asks me very rudely "better?" I say they are still very sparkly and very square. At this point, he's shouting and blaming me. Other customers and employees are staring. I show him the photo of what I asked for and how it's nothing like what he gave me. He keeps trying to blame me despite me repeatedly saying that I didn't want this shape or color. As I'm showing other employees the photos, he is still shouting from across the room, and no one tells him to stop. I said "how can he yell at customers like that, it's very rude" someone said everyone says he's rude (then why does he still work there!) and another employee tried to blame me saying "because I changed my mind" despite me only ever wanting one type of nail. Do not come here! They had to file my nails down to the bottom to remove the manicure and my nails are so scratched and sensitive now. They do not care about customers, only money. Disgusting salon. Completely unprofessional…read more This happened on Thursday, I wrote my original review on Friday after I had general anesthesia for wisdom teeth removal, and now that the grogginess and pain has subsided, I've edited my review to be more concise/readable, provide screenshots rather than type out the conversation, and add more detail as she threatened me with legal action: I had an appointment at 3:30pm, got there at 3:36 (mistyped it in one of the texts, but you can see this from the first time stamp). I texted, rang the doorbell, and called, no answer. See the screenshot for when she finally responded, you can judge for yourself if it was unprofessional. There is also another screenshot showing my iPhone significant locations for the time I arrived to that area (3:35). She put me down as a no show (not sure if there's a fee associated) and said she was going to send me a Cease and Desist for slander after I posted this review. I wonder how many people she has said that to and they deleted their review because they didn't have the resources to deal with that. Aside from that, what happened to grace periods? It's standard practice across the US for that to be anywhere from 10-20 minutes. And she commented on this Yelp review that she can't put her life on hold? I was 6 minutes late, but even if I was 11 minutes late like she claims, her reaction would still be unprofessional...so I'm not really sure what she's defending. If you Google it for beauty appointments, the most common answer to pop up is 15 minutes. They don't just leave because the client didn't show up the exact minute their appointment time was (as her texts sound). They're running a business. And finally, what happened to being understanding (or at the very least, not rude) to repeat clients that have been more than understanding for your situations? The appointment I had before this one, I was on time and she had me waiting well over 6 minutes as she was doing her sister's lashes in the back and was flustered getting everything together for my appointment. Although I've been trying to practice asking before I entered any establishment due to COVID, the main reason I had texted her first was because of that situation. As per her response, she's completely ignored that to fit her narrative. Clearly, she wasn't there when I texted 6 minutes after my appointment time either. And she didn't respond at all until 3:57. I wonder if she was even there at my appointment time and is trying to play the victim for her mistake. In the past, she's cancelled on me the day of an appointment. Yes, she said it was because of a power outage, but I've had people who went through that here offer discounts for the last-minute inconvenience, to come to my house, or still do the appointment with back up lighting they had. I was okay with being offered none of that because I know it's hard to run a business and not everyone has the resources to offer that, but why does she expect clients to have basic understanding when she doesn't reciprocate? In this situation, if she had texted me that she couldn't wait or responded to my texts politely, I would've gladly paid any late fees and continued giving her my business, but that is not the case. There are plenty of other people who do great brow work in the area, the hassle of working with Jessica as a person is not worth it. Support businesses who value you as a customer y'all. Check out Brows and Winks, she's right across the street, offers brows, lash, and waxing services, is always professional, and quite the pleasure.
