When the painting arrived, the frame was severely damaged. Despite being assured, in writing, that the shipment would be insured, the gallery subsequently informed us that they would be unable to reimburse us for the damage, and in fact the shipping company informed us that the gallery specifically did NOT elect to insure the shipment. The customer experience after discovering this has been extremely poor and the gallery has repeatedly been unable to provide any proof of insurance on the shipment, and have effectively told us that the issue is no longer their problem. We are lucky that the painting itself was not damaged, but in light of our experience we would STRONGLY caution any customers of Galerie le Capricorne to be aware of this issue.

I sent him a third email, which was very professional, asking if he would accept 45% of the listed price for the Lithograph. I had written, I know this is less than half of the listed price, but I want to respectfully make this offer. After he didn't respond after five days, I sent another email asking for his response. He replied, I did not respond to your email because it was the funniest offer I received in more than 20 years. To say the least, his response was rude and unprofessional. I responded stating, Surprised you found my offer so funny. I wrote my email with sincere intentions and would expect a professional reply. I have not received a reply from him.
